“Yoga for Healthy Mind and Body” Program in Pandav Bhawan, Karol Bagh

Karol Bagh ( Delhi ): 21st June International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Brahma Kumaris, Pandav Bhawan Karol Bagh, Delhi. AK Singh (Principal Scientist, ICAR Pusa, Delhi),  Rajyogini B K Pushpa, Director of Pandav Bhavan, Karol Bagh, Delhi, Pinky Singh, International lawn ball player, Praveen Kapoor, President, Shri Hanuman Mandir Multani Dhanda Paharganj, Sunita Khurana Vice President, Rockball Association of India, BK Vijay and BK Rajeev were present. The dignitaries were welcomed by presenting badges, patka and potted plants.

AK Singh, Principal Scientist ICAR, Pusa, Delhi) told that RajaYoga should be practiced regularly to bring peace in the world. Physical exercise augmented with positive thoughts bring desirable results. In today’s world every other person is struggling with mental illness. One must practice Rajyoga to keep the mind positive and healthy.

Director of Pandav Bhavan, Karol Bagh, Delhi Rajyogini BK Pushpa explained the difference between Hatha Yoga and Rajyoga and said that by managing the mind and intellect, one can manage the body, which will lead to greatness in actions. By keeping a positive mind and connection with God we can become powerful enough to get rid of harmful habits and drug addictions.

International lawn ball player sister Pinky Singh won more than 100 state and zone level medals, 12 major international medals and 15 national medals. Sharing her experiences, she said that before her final match, she made her mind positive by practicing RajaYoga, which helped her a lot and she won the gold medal. RajaYoga helped her to improve concentration and anger management. Also, she said that patience is necessary to achieve the goal. Goal cannot be achieved by stubbornness and passion only but by love.

On this occasion, Praveen Kapoor (President, Shri Hanuman Mandir Multani Dhanda Paharganj) and Sunita Khurana (Vice President, Rockball Association of India) also shared their experiences and thanked the Brahma Kumaris.

BK Rajeev demonstrated physical exercises and everyone followed. Senior Rajayoga teacher B.K.Vijay conducted guided Rajayoga session for empowering the mind.

In the end, the guests were presented with Lakshmi Narayan’s frame and holy sweet. BK Rajeev efficiently managed the stage.
