Tamando, Bhubaneswar ( Odisha ): The 143rd Birthday Anniversary of the founder of the Brahma Kumaris was celebrated in their Tamando Centre, “Prabhu Darshan Bhawan,” in Bhubaneswar as “World Spiritual Upliftment Day” by organising “All Religions Meet.”
Local Religious Heads who assembled on a single platform by invitation were Swamy Siva Chidananda Saraswati (Divine Life Society), Mr. Sharad Kumar Swain (BAHAI Chief Convenor), Reverend Father Lameshwar Kanhar (Satya Nagar Church), Moula SK Abror (Unit 4 Mosque), Granthi Kabir Singh (Kharvel Nagar Gurudwara), and Engr. Tukaram Das Brahmachari (Director of Youth Forum, Iskcon). Along with these Revered Guests, BK Debabrata Swain (Honourable Lokayukt Member, Odisha) as Chief Guest and BK Leena (Sub Zonal in Charge of Brahma Kumaris in Bhubaneswar), BK Sangeeta, (Centre in Charge, Khandagiri) were also present on the dais.
All of them were welcomed with an offering of a Tilak, Flower Bouquets, and a Shawl; they then ignited the traditional lamps. Kumari Janhavi performed a welcome dance before commencing the program.
BK Sangeeta introduced all the respected Guests to the audience.
Speaking on the occasion Swamy Shiv Chidananda Saraswati said that in the year 1953 for the first time such a Religious Conference was held in Haridwar by Swamy Shivananda Saraswati, founder of Divine Life Society, where he shared that God is One for all. He is One, we are many. We must forget the differences and work together for Social Welfare.
BK Leena said, “In order to establish Peace in the World, all Religions must join and strive together. She explained the Power of Unity quoting the example of the Power acquired by a Fist when all five Fingers are United.
Mr. Sharad Kumar Swain said that Rivers make an Ocean. Like an Ocean, God is Supreme, He has created all of us like Rivers. Our life is worthy if we do justice to His Creation as Rivers do to Mankind. Else our living is just Worthless. He said that their Temples all over the world are built in the shape of a Lotus; people of all Faiths come there and pray to God who is Incorporeal.
Father Lameshwar Kanhar quoted definition of Love as mentioned in the Bible. He said that God is Love so He loves everyone without any discrimination. Any one who does not love others is unaware of God. He stated as given in the Bible: God is One who is Loveful, means Tolerant, Merciful, Soft, Selfless, Happy, Truthful, Faithful, Bold, Confident, Courageous, Calm, Cool, Righteous and Egoless. “Love is endless,” he said.
Moula SK Abror in connection with the 143rd Birth Anniversary of Brahma Baba was all praise for him. He said that celebrating the 143rd Birthday itself indicates that he must be a Noble Person. All through his life, he was said to be “Simple, Gentle, Kind, Loveful and Courteous with all equally. He was Charitable, Compassionate and Caring. So such a Great Man must be followed.” He said, “To whichever Religion one belongs, he must have full Faith in it and must be Truthful in following its Teachings and the Teacher because every Religion promotes Goodness.” He said that as per Quran if your poor neighbor is starving for food and you fail to help him then you will never be Loved by Allah, it’s a Sin and Allah will not Forgive you.”
Granthi Kabir Singh too expressed that God is One for all, why then we find differences amongst us? He is the Creator of all Mankind. Just as Soil is the same but the Potter makes Pots of different Shapes and Sizes with the same Earth. So we must have true knowledge of that Supreme Potter, God and must follow His Srimat. Then only we could be Loved by Him.
Tukaram Das Brahmachari from Iskcon spoke all around Krishna because of their Faith in Krishna.
BK Dr. Debabrata Swain delivered the Aim and Objective of the Brahma Kumaris very clearly. He started throwing light on Karmic Philosophy. He said, “Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, etc. … are the Religions of this Body. There won’t be any discrimination left if we consider all as Children of One God. Today we are moving away from God. Brahma Kumaris Institution is constituted to answer, Who am I? Where from have I come? What is the purpose of My Life? and many more so, through Rajayoga Meditation. Rajayoga eliminates 5 Vices from the Soul which would solve the problems like sexual assaults and tortures women are facing, crimes and corruption in the society.” He said, “The more world is becoming materialistic, the more popularity this Godly University is gaining, to address critical issues related to the material world.” He thanked BK Sangeeta for being instrumental in organizing such a program and BK Leena for enlightening to know the method of using Spirituality in Life by the Knowledge of Soul and the Supreme Soul (God).
A Birthday Cake cutting was done by all the elite, Revered Guests and was served to one and all.
BK Prabhakar elegantly presided the entire program and lastly, BK Bansidhar Sahoo extended his greetings and vote of thanks to everyone for their patient cooperation in making this event a grand success and memorable.
