World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims Observed by Brahma Kumaris Chhatarpur

Chhatarpur ( Madhya Pradesh ): On the occasion of World Remembrance Day for Victims of Road Accidents, a program was held by Brahma Kumaris Chhatarpur.  Family members of road accident victims, administrative officials,  traffic officials, doctors and other prominent citizens attended this function and offered tributes to the victims.  This program was held in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority and District Court Chhatarpur.

Akhilesh Mishra, Chief Guest and District and Additional Sessions Judge, said that we must learn from our experience and keep the necessary awareness.  He talked about the ways in which Judicial Infrastructure works in such cases.

Rajesh Devalia, District and Additional Sessions Court Judge, in his address said that today everyone is in a rush to compete and get ahead, hence patience is lost easily.  Keeping the necessary awareness and patience while driving can avert many accidents.

BK Reena, while explaining the aim of this program said that this day is observed by the UN to pay tributes to all victims of road accidents.  If we remember God before starting our journey and thank Him upon reaching our destination, we can prevent many accidents.

Dr. Manoj Choudhary, Special Guest shared  that within one hour of the accident, what all precautions need to be taken so that lives can be saved.  He called it the Golden Hour.

Senior Advocate Ramesh Patel talked about monetary compensation methods for road accident victims.

Anil Pathak, District and Additional Sessions Judge and Secretary of District Legal Services Authority,  shared how a help desk functions for such cases.

Raju Dabar, Judicial Magistrate, suggested not to let underaged children drive vehicles.

The whole gathering paid tributes to victims of road accidents by lighting lamps. BK Kamla held a Rajyoga session with commentary.  BK Bharati guided everyone in taking a pledge to follow traffic rules. BK Kalpana coordinated this program.
