Webinar for Mass Awareness on World Environment Day in Bhinmal

Bhinmal (Rajasthan): The Brahma Kumaris of Bhinmal held a tree planting and environment message program on the occasion of World Environment Day.  BK Geeta and Rajesh Rana, District Panchayat Head of Jalore, presided over this function.

BK Geeta spoke about the problem of environmental pollution, decreasing tree cover, population explosion, plastic overuse, excessive carbon dioxide production and environmental degradation in the name of development. She shared that this year the Brahma Kumaris is specially planting Goolar or Cluster Fig Tree in the memory of Dadi Gulzar, Jamun for Dadi Janki and Imli or Tamarind Tree in the memory of Dadi Ishu.

Rajesh Rana, Chief Guest and District Panchayat Head of Jalore, while expressing his good wishes said that the coronavirus pandemic-induced lack of oxygen supply made us all realize the importance of the environment more than ever. We must pledge to safeguard our environment.

BK Gumaan Singh Rao welcomed the Chief Guest and BK Lakshman gave the vote of thanks. Chakravarti Singh Rawat of Kshemankari Trust, which has done important work of tree planting in the Bhinmal area, was felicitated on this occasion.

Later, a team from Nagar Panchayat under Ashutosh Acharya planted 25 trees in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris. They listened to the Godly Message and praised the work being done by the Organization. Other prominent citizens including journalists and engineers also attended the program. A total of 28 trees were planted.
