“Virtues – the Path to the Dignity of the Soul”- A Fair in Moscow

Moscow ( Russia ) : The Vostorgovskaya charity fair of Orthodox sober organizations with the participation of partners took place in the All Saints Church in Vsekhsvyatski (a special place in Moscow). It was dedicated to the All-Russian Day of sobriety.

The Center of Spiritual Development of the Brahma Kumaris, supporting the idea of sobriety, participated in the event at the venue, which was called “Virtues – the Path to the Dignity of the Soul” and conducted the master class “Skills of psycho physical and psycho emotional self-regulation”.

The participants of the fair actively discovered the world of virtues, learned respiratory and articular gymnastics, and relaxation in order to reduce anxiety and emotional stress. It all happened in the process of getting acquainted with the methods proposed by the representatives of the Center for Spiritual Development of the Brahma Kumaris.

During relaxation, the participants were able to come into contact with a deep state of peace and the understanding of the original, eternal nature of the soul, very pure and calm.

The main objective of the fair is the creation of a sober environment based on a spiritual worldview for spreading ideas of a healthy lifestyle, taking into attention the integrated biopsychosocial spiritual method. The urgency of the problem of abusing psychoactive substances in society makes it reasonable and extremely important to conduct a variety of preventive activities and similar events, which bring benefit to the residents of Moscow and society in general.

The Vostorgovskaya fair is a part of the large social project of the family club movement «Create Your Own Territory of Sobriety», which won the Moscow City Grant Competition by the Moscow Mayor in 2019. More than 500 people attended the event as participants and guests. Different activities were held at four interactive venues. More than ten workshops and psychological workshops, and sports competitions took place; three exhibition expositions were organized, and more than ten performers took part in the concert program. There was a very warm family atmosphere of celebrating the liberation from bad habits. The hearts of people were filled with hope and faith.
