VIHASA Program at Masina Hospital, Mumbai

Mumbai ( Maharashtra ): The Brahma Kumaris of Mumbai organized a session on VIHASA, “Values In Healthcare: A Spiritual Approach” at Masina Hospital, a 116-year-old heritage hospital of Mumbai. Dr. Sachin Parab along with behavioural trainer BK Ritu conducted this program.

VIHASA, inaugurated in 2006 in India by the late President Mr. APJ Abdul Kalam, is run globally by the Janaki Foundation UK in collaboration with the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation. Dr. Sachin Parab is the National co-ordinator for VIHASA. The aim of VIHASA is to inculcate a value-based approach to healthcare by learning and integrating Rajayoga meditation practices. The program is designed for doctors, allied medical staff, and teachers. Time is specifically allocated for personal exercises and self reflection.

The program at this British-era hospital was a huge success, with the staff requesting it for their entire workforce of 500 people throughout the year.
