Varanasi ( Uttar Pradesh ): On the occasion of the anniversary of the renowned novelist and literature Munshi Premchand, a tree plantation drive was held at his birthplace in Lamhi village of Varanasi district in Uttar Pradesh. A pledge to safeguard the environment was also taken at this event.
Rajyogini BK Surendra, Head of the Varanasi centre of Brahma Kumaris, District co ordinator BK Dipendra, District media coordinator BK Bipin, Rajyoga teacher BK Taposhi, BK Preeti, Harhua block head Mr. Ashok Verma, Village gram panchayat head Ms. Meera Devi, along with members of the local Brahma Kumaris family took part in this plantation drive. The trees were planted mainly around the local pond and its surrounding areas. Awareness messages regarding environment protection were also given to the local people.
