Union Transport Minister Addresses e-Conference by Transport Wing of Brahma Kumaris

The Transport and Travel Wing of the Brahma Kumaris held a three-day live e- conference on the topic ‘Speed, Safety and Spirituality‘ from 15 to 17 May, 2020, for personnel associated with Transport, Travel and Tourism Sectors. Originally scheduled to be held at the International Headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris in Mount Abu, it was shifted online due to the nationwide coronavirus induced lockdown.

This e-Conference was addressed on its inaugural day by Nitin Gadkari, Union Transport Minister, Government of India. BK Dr. Nirmala, Head of Gyansarovar and the Transport and Travel Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, also addressed this session.

Nitin Gadkari, Union Travel Minister, while extending his best wishes for the success of this initiative, said that he is sure this conference will contribute immensely to the growth of people’s mindset on travel. It will inspire people in a new direction. Improvement of tourism, travel, public transport and economy are the focal areas of this government.

BK Dr. Nirmala, Head of the Transport and Travel Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, said that today everyone is in a hurry to reach their destination as fast as possible, compromising speed in the process.  We must work as fast to achieve inner perfection via spirituality and become ever-free.

Discussions on ‘Emotional Healing‘ and ‘Self Realization‘ were also held by experts in this inaugural session.

BK Dr. Girish Patel, noted Psychiatrist, said that body consciousness is the root of all pain. Being soul conscious can give ever-lasting happiness.

BK E. V. Girish, Motivational Trainer from Mumbai, said that people will forget what you say or do, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

Abhimanyu Kale, IAS, MD, of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, said that this lockdown period can be used to enrich ourselves with the teachings of Brahma Kumaris.

N. K. Grover, MD, of Central Railside Warehouse Company Limited, New Delhi, while extending his best wishes for this initiative, said that this e- conference on “Calmdown during lockdown,” will reduce stress. This is a great service by Brahma Kumaris.

Pradeep Kumar Awasthi, Member, Signal and Telecom Railway Board, congratulated the Brahma Kumaris for holding this e-conference on such a relevant topic at this difficult time of coronavirus pandemic.

Spiritual songs and music also formed part of this initiative. BK Bindu shared the technique of Rajayoga Meditation with commentary in the session called    ‘Meeting God‘.
