Chhatarpur( Madhya Pradesh): The Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Government of India, Dr. Virendra Kumar, paid a visit to Kishore Sagar Service Center of Brahma Kumaris in Chhatarpur. The Brahma Kumaris sisters welcomed him warmly.
BK Shailja, Incharge of Kishor Sagar Center, apprised the Minister about the activities of Brahma Kumaris in the region. The Youth Wing of RERF is part of the Youth 20 Project being undertaken under the G20 presidency of India. The Brahma Kumaris are holding contact and dialogue with Youth from villages to universities in order to empower them and direct their skills in the service of the Nation.
Special work is also being done to generate mass awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction, under the MoU signed between the Brahma Kumaris and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, GOI. Water Conservation efforts are also being done under an MoU signed by Brahma Kumaris with the Water Ministry.
The Minister acknowledged that the network of Brahma Kumaris is very strong, making them uniquely empowered to take any message directly to people at the grassroots level. Since its a spiritual organization people give special importance to anything said by the Brahma Kumaris.
Vivek Uppal and Lakshman Aggrawal, Senior Social Workers, BK Rama, BK Reena, BK Kalpana, along with other prominent people of the area were present on this occasion.
