Rourkela ( Odisha ): The Brahma Kumaris of Koel Nagar in Rourkela held a tree planting and de-addiction awareness program under the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ Project. This initiative was taken under the “Kalpa Taruh” environment protection and “My Odisha, Substance-Abuse-Free Odisha,” campaigns of Brahma Kumaris. The venues were Malgodam Leprosy Colony, Rourkela, and Government UP School, Bangurkela. At these programs, saplings were distributed free of cost for planting and information about de-addiction was given via a projector show. About 250 people of Leprosy Colony and many people of the village benefitted from this event.
It was said that today, drug addiction is the cause of many social ills. Substance abuse takes away our immunity and makes us susceptible to diseases. Everyone listened attentively to the social ills of drug addiction and took responsibility of creating public awareness about it.
A pledge was taken to make the village and school green by planting more trees and take care of them. Free Homeopathic medicine was distributed as well.
Present guests included Umesh Chander Nayak, Leader of the Leprosy Colony; Kavita Mukhi, Anganwadi In-charge of the Malgodam Leprosy Colony; Mohan Chander Mundari, Headmaster of the school committee; Jasphine Lakra, Anganwadi In-charge of Bangurkela village; and Mina Lohar, ASHA Worker of Bangurkela village. Godly gifts were given to all.

आज़ादी के 75 वें अमृत महोत्सव से स्वर्णिम भारत की ओर ….. कार्यक्रम में प्रजापिता ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ ईश्वरीय विश्व विद्यालय के राउरकेला कोयलनगर सेवाकेन्द्र द्वारा “कल्पतरु” और “मेरा ओडिशा व्यसन मुक्त ओडिशा” की कड़ी में पौधारोपण और नशा मुक्ति के कार्यक्रम 10th July, 2022 को 1) मालगोदाम लेप्रोसी कॉलोनी , राउरकेला और (2) गवर्नमेंट U P स्कूल, बांगुरकेला में बड़े ही हर्षोउल्लास से मनाया गया। इस कार्यक्रम के तहत निशुल्क वृक्षों का वितरण एवं एवं नशा मुक्ति की विस्तृत जानकारी प्रोजेक्टर शो के माध्यम से करीब 250 लेप्रोसी कॉलोनी और गांव के भाई-बहनों और बच्चों को दी गई, जिसमें यह बताया गया की आज समाज में मनुष्य की बढ़ती हुई तकलीफों का मुख्य कारण नशीले पदार्थों का सेवन हैं जिससे हमारी रोग प्रतिरोधक शक्ति कमजोर हो जाती है। सभी ने इससे होने वाली सामाजिक तकलीफों को गहराई से समझा अथवा इससे बचने के लिए सभी तक इस जानकारी को पहुँचाने की जिम्मेवारी ली। इसी मोके पर सभी उपस्थित भाई बहनों और बच्चों को वृक्षों का महत्व बताते हुए फलदार वृक्ष बस्ती, स्कूल और गांव में लगाने के साथ-साथ देखभाल करने की प्रतिज्ञा भी दिलाई गई।
इस कार्यक्रम द्वारा फ्री होमियोपैथी मेडिसिन और पेड़ों का वितरण किया गया।

2. पेड़ों का वितरण एवं सूचि : 770 Nos. (आंवला, सीताफल,कटहल, कैन्थो और जामुन )
अंत में सभी आमंत्रित मेहमानों को बाबा के घर से ईश्वरीय सौगात सहित मुख मीठा कराकर राजयोग सिखने का निमंत्रण भी दिया गया।
