The Peace Studio Event : “Re-emerging the Miami Conversation”

Miami, Florida ( USA ): Brahma Kumaris Miami organized The Peace Studio event “Re-emerging the Miami Conversation” on  April 24.

The power of the media and arts to create a more just and peaceful world was the theme, and Media, arts, and community leaders came together on zoom to learn about the recent merger of Images and Voices of Hope (founded by BK Judy Rodgers) and The Peace Studio.

Organizers Politico Global Editor John Yearwood and Media Producer/Host BK Meredith welcomed everyone, telling them about the past Images and Voices of Hope conversations that had taken place in Miami over the past 20 years. Special guest was Executive Director of The Peace Studio Thomas West who talked about his commitment to arts and music since early childhood.

The program also included: BK spiritual teacher Shireen Chada (from Tampa) who led a meditation; musical duo Arkai; acclaimed journalist Roberta Baskin; personal experiences by Miami actor Alejandro Rodriguez; a performance from the Peter London Global Dance Company and author/ attorney and founder of Miami MoCAAD , Marilyn Holifield.
