Lucknow( Uttar Pradesh ): The Self Reliant Farmer Campaign of Brahma Kumaris reached the State Institute For Management Of Agriculture( SIMA) in Rehmankhera, Lukhnow. It was warmly recieved by Dr. Pankaj Tripathi, Director of the Institute, Dr. P. K. Gupta, Additional Director, Sub Director and Joint Director, along with the other officials.
BK Badri Vishal Tiwari, National Core Member of Agriculture and Rural Development Wing of RERF and Assistant Director of Agriculture Department, while addressing groups of progressive farmers from various districts, said that our ancient culture of Bharat was based on agriculture. It is referred to as Yogic Farming these days. Today, chemical pesticides and fertilizers are posing a grave threat to mankind. Farmer had become extremely weak economically, mentally and socially. We can empower the farmer by adopting Organic Yogic Farming again. This is the main aim of this campaign.
BK Indira, Senior Rajyoga Teacher from Lucknow, laid special emphasis on mental empowerment of farmers. She urged the farmers in the audience to pledge to donate any one of their bad mental tendency today.
Dr. Pankaj Tripathi, Director of SIMA, appreciated this campaign by Brahma Kumaris which aimed at welfare of all. He assured full cooperation from his side. He thanked the campaign participants wholeheartedly and urged them to adopt Organic Yogic Farming.
More than 250 agriculture experts and farmers attended this program.
