Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore Visits BK Exhibition

Singapore : Speaker of Parliament Mr. Tan Chuan-Jin and CEO of Hindu Endowment Board Mr. Raja Segar visited the BK booth and had a brief introduction of the exhibition set up by the Brahma Kumaris on the occasion of the Shivratri festival.

BK Lakshmi, Coordinator of the Brahma Kumaris in Singapore, explained about the significance of Shiv Ratri and the booth of the 5 elements to the guests. Every year, the BKs are praised for their innovative displays.

The BK Center collaborated with the main Shiva temple in Singapore Sri Sivan Temple on the occasion of Shivratri. The theme was “Shiv Darshan: Pancha Bootha Sthalangal.”

Pancha Bhoota Sthalam refers to five elements dedicated to Shiva, each representing a manifestation of the five prime elements of nature: earth, water, fire, air and space. The five elements are believed to be enshrined in the five lingams of the temples, each lingam representing one element.

There was also a hologram display and exhibition on Raja Yoga to attract the thousands of devotees who had come to observe the festival. More than 300 devotees signed up for the Rajayoga course.
