Guwahati ( Assam ): The Maha Shiv Ratri Festival 2020 was celebrated by Brahma Kumaris, Guwahati, in a grand manner and in all its auspiciousness. A seven-day program was chalked out and ceremonies were held at all the 22 centers of the city where Sub-Zone In-charge Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Sister Sheela hoisted the Flag of Incorporeal God Shiva.
A “Adhyatmik Jagriti Bike Rally” (Spiritual Awareness bike rally) was coordinated covering various villages within 60 kilometers radius of Guwahati City. The press conference in this regard was held at the Guwahati Press Club wherein BK Mausumi, BK Alpana and BK Sharada informed the media about the rally and other programs. Around 70 bikers (BKs), participated in the rally which bifurcated into two separate sub-rallies soon after its inauguration, to cover about 20 villages around Guwahati like Pamohi, Borihaat, Luharghat, Batorhat, etc.
The inauguration was done by Honorable Ms. Queen Oja, sitting Member of Parliament from Guwahati Constituency Seat, along with Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Sister Sheela, Subzone Incharge, and Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Dr. Sunita from Mount Abu.
During the rally, two drama / skits on the theme “Drug De-addiction” and “Ishwar ka Thikana” were performed en route during the rally. In addition, pamphlets were distributed and lectures were delivered at various places through which thousands of souls were given the Godly Message.
Hundreds of BK students participated in Shiv Jayanti celebrations held at Rupnagar Center. In the morning, Prabhat Feri (early morning rounds of a group reciting sacred verses) were also held out in the community. To commemorate the 84th Shiv Jayanti, 84 cakes were cut, 84 lamps were lit, and 84 balloons with the Godly Message were flown in the open sky. The participants pledged to give up weakness in their lives on the pious occasion of Shiv Ratri. Throughout the day, the Godly Message of Shiva’s descent was given at various temples.
