Sri Lanka-  9th International Yoga Day 2023 – Theme is “ Vasudev Kutumbkam” One Earth One Family One Future

the first day event was organized in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga center. Prof. Ankuran Dutta, Director, SVCC graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Brahma Kumaris offer unique approach to yoga that combines physical postures with spiritual teachings. Their yoga practice known as Rajyoga, emphasizes the connection between the mind, body and spirit.
In Rajyoga, the focus is on controlling the mind and cultivating inner peace through meditation and mindfulness practices. Physical postures known as asanas are used to help prepare the body for meditation and promote physical health and flexibility.

A yoga session titled “Exams to Excellence” was organized in collaboration with Astanka Yoga Mandir and Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Center at the Hindu Ladies College ( Saiva Mangaiyar Vidyalayam) Wellawatte.

A program was organized on the topic: Tree of Humility – kids Program , Number of Participants in this session were 15.  Healthy plants and trees yield abundant flowers and fruits. Similarly, from a healthy person, smiles and happiness shine faith like the rays of the sun” – B K S Iyengar.

A special event for kids Tree for Humility was organised to develop positive attitudes and values was organized by Brahma Kumaris rajyoga Center, Colombo.

A special yoga program and meditation session for the students of St. Lucia’s college ,Kotahena, Colombo was organised in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Center.

Power of Motherhood – A Public Program was held at Banbalapitiya in which 30 participants attended.

A program on the topic Yoga and Meditation to Relieve was held at Kandana. An event titled Harmony in Relationships with BK Meera Nagananda was  held including Rajyoga Meditation and a session on “Power Yoga for Physical Fitness” at Kandy Piachud Gardens.

A special yoga program and meditation session for the students of Ramananathan Hindu Ladies College Bambalapitiya in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga center.

A program on Benefits of Karma Yoga at  Dehiwala, Yoga to Enhance Power of Thoughts was held at Hill Country Women’s Association.

Events were held on various topics including How to conquer fear and become strong, Healthy Mind and Body, Values for Practical Life, As is the Mind so is the Life, Inner Harmony for outer Unity, Yoga for Successful Journey, Relief Stress and Headache though yoga,  How to develop a healthy mind and Body?, Enjoying Aging etc.

A special yoga session was organized by Brahmakumaris Raja Yoga center in collaboration with Saami Vivekannada Cultural Centre Colombo for the elders at Mallika Elders Home Bambalapitiya on Benefits of Yoga at Mallika Elders Home, Bambalapitiya.

9th International day of yoga Public Program was held at Independence Square with more than 1000 participants . The International Day of Yoga 2023 was a truly remarkable event, filed with vibrant energy, harmony, and an overwhelming spirit of unity,

A special yoga session for gents in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris was held at Dehiwala on the theme Yoga for a New Day New Life.

9TH International Day of Yoga was also held at Port of Colombo
Message from President, ICCR Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe on the occasion of the 9th International day of Yoga :  “Beauty of yoga is that it is one stop solution to several challenges that global Community is facing in so far as personal and social health is convened”.
