Cuttack ( Odisha ): Under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahostav campaign the Rural Development Wing Brahma Kumaris organized an “Atma Nirbhar Kisan”(Self Reliant Farmer) campaign throughout the whole nation.
The “Atma Nirbhar Kisan Campaign” was inaugurated on 22nd May 2022 at Anantapur Vishwa Shanti Sarovar, Brahma Kumaris Cuttack, Odisha . This campaign continued for 30 days by passing through Adaspur, Kasarda, 42 Mouja, Kandarpur, Salipur, Nischintakoili, Jagatpur , Athagarah , Banki , Baranga and reached at Cuttack by crossing more than 1000 Villages .
A closing program was organized at Prabhu Samarpan Bhawan Cuttack. BK Kamlesh, Incharge, Cuttack subzone said that the nation can only be self independent by self independent farmers and greeted all the abhiyatris(participants) of the campaign.
Sashi Bhusan Behera, MLA , Kendrapada joined as Chief Guest through Virtual Meeting and greeted the abhiyatris and praised Brahma Kumaris for such a noble work for farmers.
BK Sulochana, Addl. Incharge, Cuttack subzone joined as chief speaker and said about the value of adopting yogic farming .
Arabinda sahoo, Agronomist, Nischintakoili joined as honorable speaker and explained about use of cow urine , compost, jia compost etc.
Ansuman Pattanaik , Agriculture officer, Dhenkanal also joined, BK Gopal , BK Parbati, BK Gitanjali shared their experiences . BK Sandhya gave vote of thanks. BK Debasmita shared the details of whole rally and showcased the videos of campaign. The abhiyatris of Dhenkanal , Keonjhar, Anugul and Jajpur were felicitated. More than hundred joined this ceremony. Hundreds of farmers benefited by this campaign and thousands of farmers meeting were held during this campaign.
