“Road Safety Week” Celebrated at HPCL, Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam ( Andhra Pradesh ): As part of Road Safety Week, the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) – Visakhapatnam LPG Gas refinery/ Terminal, behind Visakhapatnam Airport, conducted Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha (Road Safety Week) from January 11 to 17, 2020, to create awareness about road safety among the Contract Gas tanker drivers.  A session on “Safety through Spiritual Skills” with meditation was conducted by the management of the HPCL gas-filling center.

M Srinivas Rao, Senior Manager, Operations, HPCL- Visakhapatnam LPG Gas Terminal, Venkatesh, Safety Officer, LPG Gas, organized the program.

BK Nageshwara Rao and BK Sekhar were the guests on the occasion.

BK Nageswara Rao from the Brahma Kumaris, Transport and Travel Wing, Railway New colony center, conducted a seminar/talk show for the driving professionals.

Mr. Srinivas Rao, Senior Manager, Operations, explained about accident statistics, how they can keep their vehicles intact, follow traffic rules, and safety at all levels.  He complimented the Brahma Kumaris for supporting and for initiation for their mission, and presented the guests and few participants with gifts.

BK Nageshwara Rao made each of the participants recognize the importance of a Driver, and drivers as a symbol of hope and trust for the company, and entitled each of them as “Maharaj,” as they carry an asset of more than 50 lakhs (5,000,000) during their journey. He explained in a very simple and practical way with the sessions on “Safety through Spiritual Skills” and “Traffic Control of Mind” and how to make their mindsets peaceful, powerful mindsets applying spirituality, while driving.

BK Nagesh made them feel blissful and elevated by giving a guided meditation experience.

Various videos were shown to the drivers on what can happen if they do not imbibe and practice safety while driving on the roads.

In this two-hour session, around 60 tanker drivers participated and received benefit.
