Mumbai – Kandivali ( Maharashtra ) : Brahma Kumaris Kandivali, orchestrated a vibrant and impactful Road Safety Walkathon. This momentous event took place in conjunction with the 7th UN Global Road Safety Week.
With an impressive turnout of more than 150 participants, including BKs of all ages, the Walkathon aimed to communicate a powerful message to society: “Safety Starts with Us.” The diverse group of individuals came together, forming a collective voice to emphasize the importance of road safety.
Embarking on a spirited walk spanning approximately 4 kilometers, participants took their commitment to road safety a step further. Each individual adorned their hands with road safety slogans, displaying their dedication and determination to promote responsible behavior on the roads. The sight of a united front, advocating for a safer future, created an atmosphere of harmony and peace throughout the event.
The Road Safety Walkathon also welcomed esteemed guests, including the Traffic Inspector of Kandivali, who played a vital role in spreading awareness about traffic rules, their enforcement, and the significance of adhering to them. The inspector’s presence added a touch of authority and expertise to the event, highlighting the shared responsibility of maintaining road safety.
Moreover, the participation of members from Pragati Trust, a respected organization, added an extra layer of significance to the event.
