Rakhi celebration at Kota West Central Railway Employee Union

Kota ( Rajasthan ):  Brahma Kumaris celebrated Rakhi at WCREU(West Central Railway Employee Union) and shared the meaning of Raksha sutra(thread) and how Meditation can help us protect from the evils in our life.

The meeting hall was filled with vibrations of divine godly love during the celebration of Raksha bandhan when Brahma Kumaris sisters tied Rakhi to all the employees. Sisters asked employees to give the return gift as any one of their weaknesses and get empowered for their strengths with a blessing card. The occasion commenced with an introduction to the Brahma Kumaris organization.

BK Surbhi, a student at Brahma Kumaris, shared that the Supreme father recreates new world through Prajapita Brahma and that the tradition of rakhi celebration in ancient times was started by brahmins, the children of Brahma, who used to tie the raksha sutra. She said that the purpose of tying the Raksha sutra was about asking people to vow to follow certain disciples in life which will protect them and society from evil.

BK Priti, Incharge of Kota junction center, shared that all religions people are brothers and sisters because each one of us are souls and we all have a common father. She also shared the importance of practicing meditation that is realizing ourselves as souls as a way of connecting to our father. She further added that Rajayoga Meditation helps to keep oneself focused and gain the controlling power that helps to refrain oneself from vices. She also shared some tips like self-reflection, evaluation and others which help to prevent negative thinking from wasting our life’s most valuable time, energy, our relationships and our happiness.

The WCREU Minister, Mukesh Galav, shared his views that the essence of Meditation in one word is to get back our concentration which we need for living our life.

The treasurer of WCREU, Irshad Khan shared that it is rightly said that we are all the children from the same Adam or Brahma and even though we may go to different temples and mosques and gurudwaras to search for the One, we are all indeed brothers and sisters.

The program was organized by WCREU Women Wing, some of whom shared how learning Rajayoga Meditation online during covid-19 phase has helped them overcome the difficult times.
