Rajgarh Brahma Kumaris hold Rally for Cleanliness And Plastic Free India Campaign

Rajgarh  ( Madhya Pradesh ): The Rajgarh center of Brahma Kumaris, under the campaign ‘Cleanliness and Plastic Free India‘, being run by the organization from 23rd September  to 2nd October, 2019, took out a public awareness rally. Dadi Janki, Head of Brahma Kumaris, has been named as the brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission by the Government of India. This rally was flagged off by Ms. Mangla Gupta, Head of Rajgarh Municipality and Social Activist Mr. Shailesh Gupta from Shiv Vardan Bhawan in Bhanwar Colony. It was concluded at Khilchipur area in the presence of BK Madhu, Head of Rajgarh Brahma Kumaris.

Speaking at this rally, Ms. Mangla Gupta said that the Government of India will completely phase out plastic use from 2nd October, 2019, but the Brahma Kumaris organization has done this even before that. This is highly appreciable. She urged everyone to use jute or paper bags. The municipality also distributed jute bags to the audience at this occasion.

Mr. Shailesh Gupta, in his address, urged everyone not to throw waste in plastic bags, as this is consumed by the stray cattle leading to their deaths. It also pollutes land and water bodies. We must all make our contribution in making this county plastic free.

BK Madhu, while interacting with the audience, said that excessive plastic use is causing deadly diseases like cancer. To ensure future safety, we must stop using plastic. She made everyone pledge not to use plastic.
