Mt Abu (Rajasthan): Radio Madhuban 90.4 FM in collaboration with UNICEF and the Community Radio Association organised a campaign against Child Marriages in Indian Villages at the Senior Secondary Girls School, Bachpan Express, here.
Mount Abu’s Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ravindra Goswamy, who graced the occasion as chief guest, called upon the girl students to inform him of incidences of children being forced by parents into wedlocks anywhere in the neighbourhood. He also advised the students to revise lessons every day after school.
Doctor Kanak Srivastav from the Brahma Kumaris Global Hospital, Mount Abu; BK Krishna, production head of Radio Madhuban; and BK Ravi, member of the Youth Wing, were present on the occasion.
Radio Jockeys Usha, Arushi, Aman and Aditya and the Radio Madhuban team of artistes staged a play depicting the role of education and the negative impact of early marriage as part of the awareness programme.
Dr. Srivastav explained the physical and emotional impact of early marriage on the children.
Senior Secondary Girls School headmistress Mrudula Vyas called upon her students to do things noteworthy and with perfection.
Some students narrated the hardships they encounter in connection with their studies. A few others expressed their desire to study further despite their difficulties in life.
Kumari Apeksha of Class XI said dreams set as goals in life embolden determination to achieve. Hence, one must dream big in life.
BK Krishna motivated the students to stand firm against child marriages. The students also raised positive slogans supporting the campaign and denouncing child marriages.

रेडियो मधुबन 90.4 FM द्वारा ‘बचपन एक्सप्रेस’ कार्यक्रम का सीनियर सेकेंडरी गर्ल्स स्कूल, माउंट आबू के परिसर में आयोजन किया गया। UNICEF और कम्युनिटी रेडियो असोसिअशन के सहयोग से ये मुहीम बाल विवाह के खिलाफ चलायी जा रही है । इस कार्यक्रम में पहली कक्षा से ग्यारवीं कक्षा में पढ़ने वाली छात्राओं ने हिस्सा लिया।
कार्यक्रम में माउंट आबू के SDM डॉ.रवींद्र गोस्वामी, मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शामिल हुए। डॉ.रविंद्र जी ने बच्चों को आस-पास हो रहे बाल विवाह की जानकारी देने के लिए कहा तथा रोज़ पढाई करने और अपना सामान्य ज्ञान बढ़ाने के लिए भी प्रेरित किया । साथ ही ग्लोबल अस्पताल से डॉ.कनक श्रीवास्तव , रेडियो मधुबन की प्रोडक्शन हेड बी.के. कृष्णा और ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ युवा प्रभाग के सदस्य बी.के. रवि मौजूद रहे । रेडियो मधुबन की टीम से आर.जे. उषा, आर.जे.आरुषि, अमन और आदित्य ने शिक्षा की महत्वता और बाल विवाह के प्रभाव को दर्शाता, एक मनोरंजक ड्रामा प्रस्तुत किया ।
डॉ. कनक श्रीवास्तव ने बाल विवाह से शरीर पर पड़ने वाले दुष्प्रभावों के बारे में जानकारी दी । सीनियर सेकेंडरी गर्ल्स स्कूल की प्रधानध्यापिका मृदुला व्यास जी ने बच्चों को जीवन में कुछ अच्छा करने के लिए प्रेरणा दी । कुछ छात्राओं ने बताया की एक लड़की की शिक्षा से जुडी रूढ़ियों के कारण उन्हें कितनी परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ता है । कुछ छात्राओं ने अपनी शिक्षा के प्रति रूचि और हिम्मत को भी शब्दों से प्रकट किया। कक्षा ग्यारवीं की छात्रा अपेक्षा ने कहा की सपनों से लक्ष्य बनता है और लक्ष्य से जूनून आता है, इसलिए सपने जरूर देखना चाहिए। बी.के.कृष्णा जी ने बाल विवाह के खिलाफ अपनी आवाज़ बुलंद करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया । ये कार्यक्रम ‘शिक्षा से होंगे सपने साकार, बाल विवाह नर्क का द्वार’ के नारों के साथ संपन्न हुआ । कार्यक्रम का कुशल संचालन आर.जे.आरुषि ने सफलता पूर्वक किया ।
