Tikrapara (Chhattisgarh): The World Environment Day on June 5 was marked with the theme “Protecting Environment – Protecting All” under the joint aegis of Brahma Kumaris Bilaspur in Tikrapara along with the Agriculture and Rural Wing.
While conveying the awareness message, Incharge of Tikrapara service center BK Manju shared, “It is always quite serene to experience the greenery around, whether that is planted into the grounds or pots, in small or big areas, but one certainly feels bliss by being in the company of nature. Therefore, we should be giving at least a small space to nature in our homes by organizing a mini-terrace or mini-balcony garden, preferably choosing oxygen-rich plants as it helps to make the environment clean. Here the law of attraction fits well, as what we give to nature will come back in the same way.”
“During the pandemic period, BK sisters of the Tikrapara service center also prepared a garden that spreads over a 1,700 square feet area with an enriching variety of plants blossoming here. BK sisters are taking good care of 300 big and small tree plants decorating the Anand Vatika courtyard and a special spiritual space of Tikrapara service center, in which apart from Mango, Banyan, Sacred fig, Ashoka, Mulberry, Heart-leaved moonseed, Basil, Neem, Night-flowering jasmine, Guava, Coconut, Money plant, many other aromatic, ornamental, medicinal, vegetables, and indoor plants are also included. Due to which, along with the spiritual vibrations in the service center, the place is also blooming with nature’s beauty.”
BK Manju informed about the online meeting held on June 1 with the Agriculture and Rural Wing of Brahma Kumaris, in which many suggestions were discussed to celebrate World Environment Day of this year. Following this, Brahma Kumaris Tikrapara decided to set up an oxygen park in the service center where walking will benefit the health and provides pure clean air to breathe. She requested all the residents of the city to build an oxygen park in their homes, in which Sacred fig, Neem, Ashoka, Holy basil, and Night-flowering jasmine can be planted in the outdoor areas, and Heath, Palm tree, Rubber fig, Dracaena Trifasciata, Syngonium, and Peace lily inside the homes. She also requested rural area brothers and sisters to plant trees on their farm bunds (the retaining walls alongside the fields), which will be beneficial for local villagers and the environment as a whole.
In sacred memory of Brahma Kumaris Former Chief Administrative Head Dadi Hridya Mohini, a pledge was taken to take care of plants, and a Sacred fig was seeded in her name as she was quite serene, calm, and pure, and being a God’s precious instrument, she showered everyone with the light of hope and giving the breath of happiness for years and years long.
Also being recalling was the great spiritual leader and another Former Administrative Head of Brahma Kumaris, Dadi Janki – She was like a Banyan tree who expanded the Godly services and His divine message worldwide. Also, Dadi Ishu’s attributes were correlated to the Neem tree, for she was always firm with her values and maintained divine dignity throughout her life of selfless services.
Along with BK Manju, BK Hemvati, BK Gayatri, BK Poornima, BK Shyama, BK Ishwari, and BK Neeta were also present to share the environmental significance and meditating to radiate the divine vibrations to nature.

ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ एवं कृषि एवं ग्राम विकास प्रभाग के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर ‘‘पर्यावरण की रक्षा-हम सबकी सुरक्षा’’ कार्यक्रम का आयोजन टिकरापारा सेवाकेन्द्र में किया गया। इस अवसर पर सभी के लिए जागरूकता संदेश देते हुए सेवाकेन्द्र प्रभारी ब्रह्माकुमारी मंजू दीदी जी ने कहा कि प्रकृति का सानिध्य हमें आनंद की अनुभूति कराता है अतः सभी अपने घर में चाहे वह फ्लैट हो, चाहे छोटा घर हो लेकिन आप छत में, बालकनी में या घर में ही गमले में ही बोनसाई रूप में पौधा रोपित जरूर करें। विशेष रूप से ज्यादा समय तक ऑक्सीजन प्रदान करने वाले पौधों को चुनें। इससे हम वातावरण को स्वच्छ बनाने में मदद करते हैं। आकर्षण का नियम भी यही है कि जो हम प्रकृति को देंगे वह हमें भी मिलेगा।
दीदी ने बतलाया कि कोरोना काल में सभी बहनों ने मिलकर सत्रह सौ वर्ग फीट का एक बगीचा भी तैयार किया जिसमें बहुत से पौधे रोपित किए। सेवाकेन्द्र के आनंद वाटिका प्रांगण व बाबा की कुटिया में 300 से अधिक छोटे-बड़े पेंड़ पौधों की देखरेख बहनें ही कर रही हैं। जिसमें आम, बरगद, पीपल, अशोक, शहतूत, गिलोय, तुलसी, नीम, पारिजात, अमरूद, कमरख, नारियल, मनी प्लांट जैसे पेंड़-पौधों के अतिरिक्त अनेक खुशबूदार व सजावटी फूल वाले पौधे, औषधीय पौधे, शाक-सब्जियों वाले पौधे, इन्डोर प्लांट्स आदि शामिल हैं। जिससे यहां का वातावरण आध्यात्मिक के साथ-साथ प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य को लिए भी है।
सभी अपने घरों में ऑक्सीजन पार्क जरूर बनाएं
दीदी ने जानकारी दी कि 01 जून को कृषि एवं ग्राम विकास की ऑनलाइन मीटिंग हुई जिसमें विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस मनाने के अनेक सुझाव दिए गए। जिसका पालन करते हुए मंजू दीदी जी ने सेवाकेन्द्र में ऑक्सीजन पार्क बनाया। जिसमें पीपल, बरगद, नीम, अशोक, तुलसी, पारिजात व अमरूद के पौधे को नजदीक रखा गया है। जहां पैदल करने से स्वास्थ्य लाभ मिलता है। दीदी ने सभी शहरवासियों से अनुरोध किया है कि छोटे रूप में ही सही, अपने घर में ऑक्सीजन पार्क जरूर बनाएं जिसमें आउटडोर पौधों में उक्त वर्णित पौधे व इंडोर पौधों में एरिका पाम, रबर प्लांट, मनी प्लांट, स्नेक प्लांट, सिगोनियम, पीस लिली आदि पौधों का प्रयोग कर सकते हैं। साथ ही सभी ग्रामीण भाई-बहनों से अनुरोध किया कि अपने खेत के मेड़ पर वृक्षारोपण जरूर करें जो परोपकार के रूप में सभी के लिए हितकर होगा।
वृक्षों को माना दादियों का यादगार स्वरूप
सेवाकेन्द्र में आज दादियों अर्थात् संस्था की पूर्व मुख्य प्रशासिकाओं की पावन स्मृति में रहते हुए पौधों की परवरिश का संकल्प लिया गया। पीपल के वृक्ष को दादी हृदयमोहिनी जी की संज्ञा दी गई क्यांकि दादी जी बहुत शीतल, पावन व शांत प्रकृति की थीं उन्होंने हमें अनेक वर्ष परमात्म मिलन की अनुभूति कराकर हमारे जीवन की आश, खुशी की श्वांस अर्थात् ऑक्सीजन दी हैं। दादी जानकी जी ने वटवृक्ष के समान पूरे विश्व में सेवाओं का विस्तार कर परमात्म संदेश दिया। ईशु दादी जी ईश्वरीय मर्यादा व कायदे-कानून में कड़ी, नीम वृक्ष के समान थीं। नियमों का खुद भी कड़ाई से पालन करती रही और सभी को कराती रही। इस अवसर पर दीदी के साथ हेमवती बहन, गायत्री बहन, पूर्णिमा बहन, श्यामा बहन, ईश्वरी बहन व नीता बहन उपस्थित रहीं जिन्होंने प्रकृति वंदना के साथ आधे घण्टे प्रकृति को सकाश दिया।
