President Murmu appreciates the activities of Brahma Kumaris

Itanagar ( Arunachal Pradesh ): A delegation from the Brahma Kumaris Raj Yoga Meditation De-addiction Centre, Itanagar, called on President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday on her two-day visit to Itanagar on the occasion of the 37th Statehood Day celebration.

Rajyogini BK Junu apprised the president about the activities of the Brahma Kumaris worldwide in general and Arunachal in particular, such as providing free socio-educational services to the people of the state since its inception in 1994.  Specifically, from time to time on invitation of and in collaboration with the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), DHS, ITBP, CRP, NDRF and other Government and non-governmental organizations of Arunachal Pradesh, the local Brahma Kumaris imparted Training on “Stress Management, De-addiction and Health CampsExcellence in Administration through Spirituality, “Women Empowerment,” etc. to Doctors, mid-level (HODs, USs, etc.) Officers; YPC, YES, LVEP, etc., to the various groups/sections of the people of Arunachal Pradesh.  Brahma Kumaris have also been organising various Campaigns such as “My India, Addiction-Free India; My Arunachal, Addiction-Free Arunachal”; “Holistic Health and De-Addiction,” “Clean the Mind – Green the Environment,” “Women Empowerment,” Exhibitions, etc., during various occasions such as Republic Day, the Trade Fair, Buddha Mahotsav, including Statehood Day Celebrations, etc., since its inception in 1994 in its endeavour for all-round socio-spiritual upliftment of humanity and to establish world peace.

The Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Meditation De-addiction Centre, Itanagar, also organised an Exhibition-Campaign on ‘Holistic Health and De-addiction’ on the canopy theme “My India, Addiction-Free India; My Arunachal, Addiction-Free Arunachal” during the two-day Statehood Day Celebrations which benefited thousands.

Her Excellency Droupadi Murmu appreciated the Brahma Kumaris activities and advised the delegation to continue their good work even in this indigenous culture. She called upon the Non Governmental organizations (NGOs) like Brahma Kumaris to work for social causes and contribute to the fight against superstition and drug menace. Needless to mention, Her Excellency has been practicing Brahma Kumaris RajYoga Meditation herself since 2009.

BK JUNU also applauded Murmu for her yeomen role to Glorify God Shiva. The Honourable President was happy to meet the Brahma Kumaris team whose best wishes are always with her. She said that the encouraging words and good wishes of the BK Family are always needed.
