Delhi : The two-day National Convention of saints and scholars on “New Learning from the Bhagavad Gita” by the Brahma Kumaris concluded at the Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi.
BK Brij Mohan, Additional Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, speaking on this occasion said that the war depicted in the Gita was totally non-violent, showing man’s fight against his vices. It clearly tells the method of changing one’s tendencies through Yoga.
Associate Professor of Sanskrit at Kurukshetra University, Dr. Surendra Mohan Mishra, said that without non-violence there can be no truth. Today, the violence and moral degradation of our society make the Gita’s teachings ever more relevant.
BK Basavraj, Gita Specialist and head of the Hubli center of the Brahma Kumaris in Karnataka, said that the war depicted in the Gita was a mental one.
Professor Yogendera Nath Sharma from Garhwal University said that the Bhagavad Gita is actually a symbolic text. Peace is a pre-requisite to perceive the ultimate Truth.
Brahma Rishi Gaurishankaracharaya Maharaj from Amritanubhav Sangh Trust of Nepal said that there exist many conflicting views on the Gita. But benevolence is the essence of all teachings. The Gita talks about the soul nature of man, which is the real teaching.
BK Asha, Head of the Gurgaon Om Shanti Retreat Center, said that female power has been given special importance in the Gita. Women will play a special role in the construction of the Golden Age.
BK Usha, Gita specialist from Mount Abu, said that constant communion with God is the main lesson of chapter 18 of the Gita. One should learn how to be friends with one’s mind.
The inaugural session of the conference was held at the Om Shanti Retreat Center in Gurgaon. Many scholars and scientists from different universities and specialists of various faiths met together and had constructive discussions on the theme of the conference. The Brahma Kumaris organization acted as the host and mediator between different viewpoints on this occasion.
BK Brij Mohan, Additional Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris, while welcoming everyone to this event said that the aim of this initiative is to take the real message of the Bhagavad Gita to the common man. This message being that the Bhagavad Gita is the creation of the Supreme Soul itself. The war depicted in it is against the vices in one’s own self, in order to become pure. By this purification of men, a new era of virtue and prosperity called the “Golden Age” will dawn.
Justice BK Ishwariah said that the message of the Gita about the Supreme Truth is very important. Saint Gopal Krishan while addressing the gathering in English said that only the Supreme Soul could have produced such a masterpiece.
Under the able supervision of BK Manorama, Head of the Religion Wing of Brahma Kumaris, specially invited religious scholar Vipin Chandra Joshi from Dehradun described Bhagvat Gita as the holiest scripture of our times.
Mahamandaleshwar Dharma Dev Ji Maharaj, while praising the Brahma Kumaris organization, said that whoever comes in contact with the Brahma Kumaris gets to know the real meaning of life. A panel discussion of scholars extolling the finer points of Bhagavad Gita was also held.
BK Usha, Prof. Aalekh Chandra Shrangari, Swami Balram Muni Ramteerth, Dr. Shreeprakash Mishra, Dr. Rajeev Gupta, Dr. Pushpa Pandey, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Patanjali University Prof. Mahavir Aggarwal, Prof. Praful Kumar Mishra, Dr. Surendra Mohan Mishra and BK Veena participated in the panel discussions.
In the second panel, discussions on the formless God of the Gita were held. The concluding session of the day discussed the significance of Bhagavad Gita in the present times.

दो दिवसीय भगवद गीता महासम्मेलन संपन्न
गीता का युद्ध सांकेतिक एवं अहिंसक था- बीके बृजमोहन

नई दिल्ली। प्रजापिता ब्रह्मा कुमारी ईश्वरीय विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा भगवद गीता का नया अभिप्राय’ विषय पर दो दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय भगवद गीता महासम्मेलन का आज दिल्ली के सीरी फोर्ट सभागार में समापन हुआ।
इस अवसर पर संस्था के अतिरिक्त महासचिव एवं महासम्मेलन के आयोजक राजयोगी बीके बृजमोहन ने कहा कि गीता में वर्णित युद्ध सांकेतिक एवं अहिंसक था। असल युद्ध मानव के भीतर चल रहा है, विकार एवं कमजोरियों के विरुद्ध। निराकार ज्ञान दाता परमात्मा शिव है। परमात्मा ने ही ज्ञान गंगा बहायी। असल में गीता में कर्मों की फिलॉसफी बताई गई है। इसमें स्पष्ट किया गया है कि कैसे योग के माध्यम से संस्कारों का परिवर्तन हो सकता है। इसके अलावा, गीता ने हमें पांच विकारों से युद्ध करना सिखाया है।
कुरुक्षेत्र विश्वविद्यालय के संस्कृत विभाग के एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर डॉ. सुरेंद्र मोहन मिश्रा ने इस अवसर पर कहा कि अहिंसा के बिना सत्य स्थापित नहीं हो सकता। बिना सत्य भारत की कल्पना नहीं हो सकती। गीता में वर्णित युद्ध एक सांकेतिक युद्ध था। अहिंसक था, जिसे राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी ने भी सराहा था। आज जिस तरह से राष्ट्र का मूल्य बोध चरमरा रहा है। काम, क्रोध, लोभ के कारण राष्ट्रीय जीवन में पतन आया है। आज आवश्यकता काम शत्रु से युद्ध करने की है।
कर्नाटक के हुबली स्थित ब्रह्मा कुमारीज केंद्र के निदेशक एवं गीता विशेषज्ञ , राजऋषि बीके.बसवराज ने कहा कि गीता में वर्णित युद्ध मानस युद्ध था। उन्होंने कहा कि गीता की व्याख्या चार बिंदुओं से की जाती है, पौराणिक, ऐतिहासिक, तार्किक एवं आध्यात्मिक।
श्रीनगर के गढ़वाल विश्वविद्यालय के प्रो. योगेंद्र नाथ शर्मा ‘अरुण’ ने कहा कि गीता प्रतीकात्मक है। इसके आठवें अध्याय में भगवानुवाच है कि मैं‘ओम’ हूं। यह युद्ध भ्रांति से शांति तक पहुंचने का है। विकृति आती है, तो दुर्योधन बन जाते हैं। भ्रांति से क्रांति आती है और क्रांति से शांति। विश्व को सत की तरफ जाना है, तो शांति लानी होगी। दुर्योधन को फिर से सुर्योधन बनना होगा।
नेपाल के अमृतानुभव संघ ट्रस्ट के ब्रह्म ऋषि गौरीशंकराचार्य महाराज ने कहा कि गीता को लेकर कई तरह के विरोधाभास हैं। संपूर्ण शास्त्रों का सार परोपकार है, तो गीता में अंतर्युद्ध की बात की गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि लक्ष्य तक पहुंचने का जो रास्ता है, वह महाभारत है और उसमें आने वाली बाधाओं का समाधान गीता ज्ञान से होता है। गीता में मूल रूप से तीन बातें समायी हैं। मैं कौन, ये जगत क्या है और जगत का नियंता कौन है। मैं आत्मा हूं और जगत के नियंता परमशक्ति, प्रकाशवान, अखिल विश्व के स्वामी परमात्मा हैं। आत्म ज्ञान में स्थित होने से परम शक्ति की प्राप्ति होती है।
गुरुग्राम स्थित ओम शांति रीट्रीट सेंटर की निदेशक बीके आशा ने कहा कि गीता में मातृ शक्ति को महत्व दिया गया है। हम साल में दो बार नवरात्रि मनाते हैं। नदियों के नाम बहनों पर हैं। वे पवित्र पावनी कही जाती हैं। ज्ञान को बांटने का कार्य माताओं पर है। देवियों ने समाज का निर्माण किया है। दैवी संप्रदाय के निर्माण में मातृशक्ति का योगदान भरपूर रहा है।
माउंट आबू से पधारीं गीता विशेषज्ञ राजयोगिनी उषा दीदी ने कहा कि गीता के 18वें अध्याय में उपदेश दिया गया है मनमनाभव का। इंद्रियों को जीतने से ही मन को जीता जा सकता है। मन एक चंचल घोड़े की तरह है। उसकी दिशा उस ओर है, जहां कई तरह के विकार हैं। आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान से ही मन को नई दिशा दे सकते हैं। मन को मारना नहीं, मोड़ना है। ईश्वर की तरफ मन का मुख कर देंगे, तो वह नियंत्रित हो जाएगा। मन को जितना सकारात्मक, श्रेष्ठ, सुंदर बनाएंगे, उतना मनोयुद्ध से लड़ पाएंगे और विजयी बनेंगे। मन को मित्र बनाएं।
इससे पूर्व, शनिवार को इस महासम्मेलन का शुभारंभ संस्था के गुरुग्राम स्थित ओम शांति रीट्रीट सेंटर में हुआ था। जिसमें हरिद्वार, कुरुक्षेत्र, पंजाब, उत्तर प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, हिमाचल प्रदेश, हैदराबाद, कर्नाटक, जबलपुर, ओडिसा, आदि राज्यों से गणमान्य गीता विशेषज्ञ, संत, महात्माओं ने सम्मिलित होकर दो खुले सत्र और चार प्लेनरी सेशन के माध्यम से गीता में वर्णित भारत के पुरातन राजयोग तथा विकारों रूपी शत्रुओं के ऊपर अंतर्युद्ध के बारे में गहराई से विचार विमर्श किया।
