Cuttack ( Odisha ): A National Conference was held on Journey Towards Kindness & Compassion by Shipping Aviation Tourism(SAT) Wing of Rajyoga Education & Research Foundation and Brahma Kumaris at Vishwa Shanti Sarovar, Anantpur, Cuttack . The whole programme was divided into two sessions. The first session was JOURNEY TOWARDS KINDNESS & COMPASSION in which BK Kamlesh, Sub-Zone Incharge, Cuttack , Meera, Vice-Chairperson , SAT Wing, BK Kamlesh, National Coordinator SAT Wing, BK Sulochana, Additional Subzone In-Charge Cuttack ,BK Leena, Subzone In-charge , Bhubaneswar, BK Nathmal, Senior Rajayogi, BK Santosh, Head Quarters Coordinator, SAT Wing , along with Lenin Mohanty Chairman, OTDC, Dr. Debabrata Swain, Hon’ble Member, Lokayukta, Odisha, Arun Kumar Panda, Senior Journalist , Murlidhara Pradhan, Legal Adviser, Paradip Port Trust and Coast Guard Students joined the programme.
BK Kamlesh, Sub-Zone Incharge, Cuttack gave her blessings and BK Sulochana welcomed all the guests.
BK Kamlesh, National Co-Ordinator SAT Wing described the meaning of self compassion and said “ if you want to go 100 miles together you have to take the 1st step yourself”.
BK Meera shared on forgiveness and said that those who are brave will carry kindness and empathy with them and forgive others.
Lenin Mohanty Chairman, OTDC said that in this world of competition & hustle we often forget about moral & spiritual values and promised to contribute the development process with Brahma Kumaris.
Arun Kumar Panda, Senior Journalist & columnist enchanted “Bharat Mata ki jay” and said that the biggest property and recognition of Odisha is Lord Jagannatha. He described what is compassion with a example i.e if a guest visits a Brahmin house and the Brahmin is having less food, he offers the guest the whole food as no one will return empty from him. This is the hospitality of our culture.
Other guests like Debabrata Swain, BK Leena and all others also addressed the programme. Candle lightening was done by all guests.
The 2nd session was “ Meri Sanskriti Meri Pehchan” Sangita Rath, Eminent Singer, Doordarshan, Sabir Bux , Limca Record holder and International Scuba Diver, Sunita Mohapatra, Spiritual Healer, Gitashree Das, Social Activist, State President Human Rights, Rabi Narayan Rath, Sculptor, secretary, Swagat Ray Choregrapher, Guru Asish Kumar Das , Odishi Guru, Asish Bhattacharya, Film Director, BK Kamlesh, Sub-Zone Incharge, Cuttack , BK Meera, Vice-Chairperson , SAT Wing, BK Kamlesh, National Coordinator SAT Wing, BK Sulochana, Addl. Subzone In-Charge Cuttack, BK Girija, Delhi were present in this session.
Cultural activities like Drawing, Rangoli design art, Fancy dress competition was performed by students from different schools & nonstop dance was performed by Sanskrit dance academy, Mokhya dance, Nrutya Nilaya, Anugul team and BK Sikha & BK Itisree.
Rabi Narayan Rath, Sculptor, secretary made a mud sculpture of Prajapita Brahma Baba live infront of everyone. At last prizes and certificates of appreciation were given to contestants. BK Nathmal and BK Debasmita gave Vote of thanks in both sessions. Kumari Dipti Das, Singer & Anchor, All India Radio (AIR), Cuttack, BK Prativa, OAS, BK Santosh, Mt. Abu coordinated the whole program.
