Madhurai (Tamil Nadu ):  Spirituality enhances quality of life, says Justice Jyothimani

“Spirituality can enhance the quality of life, and destruction of nature will lead to the destruction of mankind. It is important to protect nature,” said Justice P. Jyothimani, Chairperson, State Monitoring Committee of the National Green Tribunal for Solid Waste Management.

Speaking at a national conference on ‘Self-empowerment for excellence in social service,’ organized by the Social Wing of the Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation (RERF) of the Brahma Kumaris, he said that spirituality not only helped in achieving mental peace and inner strength but also weaned people from issues such as drug addiction.

“The youth should take to spiritual practices like meditation to come out of drugs,” he added. The conference saw enthusiastic participation of people working in the domain of social service from all over the State. Members and officer-bearers of the Lions clubs and Rotary clubs spoke at the event.

BK Amirchand, Vice-Chairperson, Social Service Wing, RERF, explained the various social service initiatives taken up by the Brahma Kumaris.

BK Pushpa, Director of the Brahma Kumaris in Madhurai, delivered the presidential address and BK Pandiamani, Director of Value Education Programmes, elaborated on the objective of the conference.
