Borivali West, Mumbai : Member of Parliament Mr. Gopal Shetty was the Chief Guest of the World Environment Day celebrations held by the Brahma Kumaris at Shantidham Hall, in Borivali West, Mumbai.
After being felicitated and honored by the BK sisters, Shri Gopal Shetty appreciated the work of the Brahma Kumaris and expressed how essential it is to take care of the outer as well as inner environment. He further added that the society should shoulder the responsibility with the government to establish a peaceful and better world.
Later he planted a tree on this special occasion of Environment Day.
At the outset, BK Sister Bindu, Centre-in-charge of BK Borivali (West) Centre, mentioned how the environment and mother earth has served us selflessly for thousands of years, hence we should now contribute towards it in all possible ways. She said bringing 5 R’s in life can be of great help in taking care of the environment: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink and Refuse. In particular, she mentioned that practicing meditation radiates powerful vibrations of purity and peace to the nature all around, helping to replenish and heal it.
The event was well hosted by BK Shreya in the midst of an audience of over 300 people who attended the program.

– सांसद गोपाल शेट्टी ने किया वृक्षारोपण
बोरिवली पश्चिम ( मुंबई)। ब्रह्मा कुमारीज के शांति धाम हॉल में विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के मौके पर एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें सांसद गोपाल शेट्टी मुख्य अतिथि थे। बीके बहनों द्वारा सम्मानित किए जाने के बाद गोपाल शेट्टी ने ब्रह्मा कुमारीज द्वारा किए जा रहे कार्यों, सेवाओं की सराहना की और कहा कि कैसे बाहर के साथ भीतर के पर्यावरण को भी स्वच्छ रखना चाहिए। इसके लिए सरकार के साथ-साथ समाज को भी अपनी जिम्मेदारी उठानी होगी, ताकि एक शांतिपूर्ण समाज की स्थापना हो सके। बाद में उन्होंने वृक्षारोपण भी किया।
