Dhamtari ( Chhattisgarh ): Brahma Kumaris organized a program on ‘No Tobacco Day,’ and a rally for a drug-free India was conducted by the Motor Cycle in Dhamtari. The formal inauguration of the Drug-Free India Campaign was done in the presence of Chandrakant Kaushik, District Collector of Dhamtari, Mr. Akhilesh Tiwari, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Welfare, Dhamtari, Gajanan Sahu, Child Welfare Officer of Dhamtari, BK Sarita and Kamini Kaushik.
BK Sarita, the Chief Coordinator of Brahma Kumaris in Dhamtari, provided information about this campaign and mentioned that the Drug-Free India Campaign was inaugurated in Mount Abu, the headquarters, in the presence of Honorable Prime Minister. The Government of India has signed an MOU with the Brahma Kumaris. Following that, the campaign was inaugurated at Shantisarovar by Brahma Kumaris in the presence of the Honorable Chief Minister on May 14 in Raipur at the state level. Furthermore, on May 31, the campaign was inaugurated to make Dhamtari drug-free, where the responsibility of the campaign was handed over to BK Saras by giving her the campaign’s emblem, BK Gulab and BK Turyanand were given a flag.
BK Sarita further mentioned that children between the ages of 10 and 17 are increasingly falling into addiction. 5500 children are falling into the grip of addiction every day. The only solution to be free from all addictions is family love and practice of Rajyoga meditation as a way of life.
The esteemed guest, Chandrakant Kaushik, Deputy Collector of Dhamtari, stated that one must be determined to quit addiction. He further stated that those who think only about the welfare of the people are the true saints, and therefore, brothers and sisters associated with Brahma Kumaris can do this work very effectively because they are true practitioners of spirituality.
Distinguished guest, Mr Akhilesh Tiwari, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Welfare, Dhamtari, stated that the Department of Social Welfare is authorized for the Drug-Free Campaign. They are actively working to create a drug-free environment in 80 gram panchayats through Bharat Mata Vahini villages.
Distinguished guest, Gajanan Sahu, Child Welfare Officer of Dhamtari, said that addiction is the biggest cause of disputes in families. He praised Brahma Kumaris and stated that only spiritual organizations can free people from addictions. The MOU between the Government of India and Brahma Kumaris is commendable.
Bk Prajakta made everyone take pledge to be addiction-free.
After the stage program, the motorbike rally was flagged off by the esteemed guests. The motorcycle rally spread the message of drug-free life throughout the city. In this program, along with the Brahma Kumaris family, the Department of Social Welfare, Freedom Physical Training Center, and Nehru Youth Center members also participated. ब्रह्माकुमारीज धमतरी जिले की मुख्य संचालिका सरिता दीदी ने इस अभियान की जानकारी देते हुए कहा माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी की उपस्थिति में मुख्यालय माउंट आबू में नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान का शुभारम्भ हुवा , भारत सरकार ने ब्रह्माकुमारीज के साथ MOU किया | इसके बाद छत्तीसगढ़ लेवल पर रायपुर में दिनांक 14 मई को माननीय मुख्यमंत्री जी की उपस्थिति में ब्रह्मा कुमारी ज शंतिसरोवर में इस अभियान का शुभारम्भ हुवा | तथा आज 31 मई को नशामुक्त धमतरी बनाने के लिए इस अभियान का शुभारम्भ ब्रह्माकुमारी सरस बहन को अभियान का कलश तथा ब्रह्माकुमार गुलाब भाई ,ब्रह्माकुमार तुर्यानंद भाई को झंडा देकर अभियान की जिम्मेवारी सोपी गई है |
आगे सरिता दीदी ने कहा आज 10 से 17 वर्ष के बच्चे नशे के गिरप्त में जादा आ रहे है | 5500 बच्चे प्रतिदिन नशे की चपेट में आ रहे है | इन सभी नशे से मुक्त होने का एकमात्र उपाय है पारिवारिक प्यार और राजयोग मैडिटेशन को अपनी जीवन शैली बनाये |
मुख्य अतिथि चंद्रकांत कौशिकजी, अपर कलेक्टर जिला धमतरी ने कहा नशा छोड़ने के लिए खुद को ही संकल्पबद्ध होना पड़ेगा | आगे उन्होंने कहा जो शत प्रतिशत जन कल्याण के लिए ही सोचे वही साधू है और इसलिए ब्रह्मा कुमारिज से जुड़े भाई बहने ही यह कार्य बहुत अच्छे से कर सकते है क्यूंकि यही सच्चे अध्यात्म के साधक है |
