Sadabad ( Uttar Pradesh): The Brahma Kumaris of Bisawar in Sadabad celebrated National Farmers Day with great fanfare. All the guests on the stage were welcomed with flowers, garlands and badges. MLA Vijendra Singh presided over this function. BK Radha, Incharge of the local BK centre, started the program by singing a beautiful song dedicated to the Supreme Soul.
BK Bhavna, Incharge of Brahma Kumaris Sadabad and Zonal Coordinator of the Rural Development Wing of the Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation, said that according to Newton’s Third Law, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If we give respect, we will get respect. In the same way, if we offer mother earth poisonous chemical fertilizers and pesticides, its produce will also be poison for the human body.
BK Satyaprakash from Dhaulpur said that when you thank the food provider, it feels really good. Whenever you eat food, just send out a heartfelt prayer for the well being of the farmer. He shared the fact that in Mount Abu, Organic Yogic Farming is done on large tracts of land and people are benefitting from it.
MLA Vijendra Singh, who presided over the function, said that today marks the birth anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, Former Prime Minister of India and known as the ‘Champion of Indian Farmers’. As Prime Minister, he made several provisions for the benefit of the farmers.
Jagvendra Singh, Social Worker, said that the farmer is the soul of India. Farming is the power and prayer of the peasant. If we wish to make Bharat progressive and self reliant, we must empower our farmers first.
All the farmers attending this program were felicitated with shawls, flowers and Godly gifts.
