Marathon Des Sables – Sahara Ultra Marathon in Morocco

Pilani ( Rajasthan ): Mount Everest summiter BK Dilip Shekhawat, who is associated with the Brahma Kumaris from Pilani, achieved the goal of successfully completing the toughest foot race on earth, the Marathon des Sables. The Marathon des Sables, or MDS race, is held in the Sahara Desert in the country of Morocco. This race is also known as the Sahara Marathon. It is a six-day, 251 km (156 mi) ultramarathon, roughly the distance of six regular marathons. The longest single stage is 91 km (57 miles) long. This multi-day race is held every year in the Sahara Desert in southern Morocco. It is considered the toughest foot race on earth. The marathon was first organized in 1986.

BK Dilip also summited the highest mountain peak on Earth, Mt. Everest, in 2019.

The flag of Supreme Father God Shiva was hoisted at the ceremony after successfully completing the Ultramarathon by BK Dilip. When fellow runners and organizers asked whose flag this is, BK Dilip gave a very beautiful answer, that this is the flag of “World Peace” giving the message of  Peace, Love and Bliss.

Before going to the race, BK Asha and BK Swati gave BK Dilip best wishes for success by handing to him the flag of Supreme Father God Shiva.
