Bhilai ( Chhattisgarh ) : Children watch and observe our each and every action; it is the reason they perform the same actions that we do. Children also have great accuracy. Parents should give their children good manners and qualities as an inheritance. The above lines were said by BK Geetha at a talk show entitled “Life of Children is rising of divinity in the sky,” organized by the Brahma Kumaris at Peace Auditorium in Bhilai. She also said that we should train children by our noble practices and behavior instead of telling them in words.
The program was inaugurated with the lighting of lamps by the guests. In the panel discussion, Mr. Nithin Tripati, Editor, as the chief guest, when answering questions asked by parents, said that firstly, starting from childhood, we should teach our children to respect woman. He also said that by the facilities and comforts provided to them they should not forget to work hard. We should make our children mannerly persons instead of an idealistic person. To questions related to scolding and beating children upon repetition of the same mistake, he answered that if children receive good deposits of love and friendship from us, then we can make a withdrawal by scolding them. If the deposits of love are more, then we can make a withdrawal by scolding them at their mistakes. We should teach our children to be patient. It is reasonable for parents that if the father scolds the child, then mother should not cuddle the child, but instead should support her husband.
Sonali Chakravarthy, Director of Swayam Siddha Group, regarding excessive usage of social media, said that if we spend more time on Facebook and Whatsapp then it is natural that children also follow us. We should study with them. If we become angry at their mistakes, then they will stop telling us everything. Our family is the school of our manners. Caring starts at home. Mother gives manners and father tells about the culture. We ourselves buy and give maggi [instant food] instead of roti, and give cool drinks instead of milk.
BK Madhuri said that change is a must with time. We want to give our children all the things that we could not have in our childhood. We also expect our children to become what we were unable to become. If we speak lies on the mobile and yet expect truthfulness from our children, this is highly impossible. We should be a role model for our children. We should learn some things in order to teach our children.
To a question about wrong demands by children, BK Madhuri replied that we should balance both love and law. When we ourselves strictly follow rules and limitations, then we can make children abide by the rules, and we can explain and reject their wrong demands. We should praise our child’s good deeds in public, and speak of their shortcomings in private. We should not make false promises to our children.
When I start bringing change from within, the energy from my change will help in bringing change in others. By this, we receive respect from others.

कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित स्वंय सिद्धा ग्रुप की डायरेक्टर सोनाली चक्रवर्ती ने बच्चों द्वारा सोशल मिडिया का अत्यधिक उपयोग करने के बारे में कहा कि हमें बच्चों के साथ समय देना होगा। यदि हम फेसबुक, वाटसअप में ज्यादा समय देते है तो निश्चित बच्चें भी हमारा ही अनुसरण करेगें। हमें भी उनके साथ पढऩा होगा। उन्हें गलतियों पर ज्यादा गुस्सा करेंगे तो वे हमें सारी बातें बताना बंद कर देंगे। हमारी संस्कारों की पाठशाला हमारा परिवार है। परिवार से परवरिश शुरू होती है। माता संस्कार देती है तो पिता संस्कृति बताता है। रोटी की जगह मैगी और दुध की जगह कोल्ड्रींग्स हम ही ने बच्चों को दीए है खरीदकर।
ब्रह्माकुमारी माधुरी दीदी ने कहा कि समय के साथ परिवर्तन आवश्यक है। हम बच्चों को वो सारी चीजे देना चाहते है जो हम बचपन में मिस किये। और हम चाहते है कि हमारा बच्चा वो बने जो हम नही बन पाये। हम यदि फोन पर झुठ बोलते है और बच्चों से अपेक्षा करते है सच्चाई कि तो यह संभव नही। हमें अपने बच्चों का रोल मॉडल बनना है। कुछ बातें हमें सीखकर बच्चों को सीखानी है। आपने बच्चों की गलत डिमांड के प्रश्न के बारे में बताते हुए कहा कि हमें लव और लॉ का बैलेंस रखना है। खुद हम नियम मर्यादाओं में पक्के रहेंगे तो बच्चों को भी नियम में बांध कर उनकी गलत मांग को समझाकर मना कर सकते है। बच्चों के कार्य की तारिफ करें सबके सामने और गलतियों पर एकांत में टोके अवश्य। बच्चों से कभी भी झुठा प्रॉमिस न करे। मुझे अपने अंदर परिवर्तन क ी शुरूआत करनी है मेरे परिवर्तन की ऊर्जा औरों में परिवर्तन लाने के निमित्त बनेगी। जिससे हमें सम्मान की प्राप्ती होती है।
