New Delhi: The Government of India, through its Department of Posts, honored Dadi Janki, Former Head of Brahma Kumaris, by releasing a commemorative stamp on her First Remembrance Day. In a program held at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Conference Hall, M. Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India, released the stamp. He was accompanied by Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Cabinet Minister of Law, Justice, IT and Communications. Rajyogini BK Asha, Director of Omshanti Retreat Center, Gurgaon, and BK Mruthyunjaya, Executive Director of Brahma Kumaris, were also present. BK Sister Shivani, Senior Rajyoga Teacher, coordinated the stage. Dignitaries from the Department of Posts were also in attendance. Many people watched the ceremony online and on TV, although only a select few were present in person due to the coronavirus pandemic.
M. Venkaiah Naidu, Honorable Vice President unveiled the stamp’s blowup amidst applause. The first album of the stamp was presented to him by Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, to mark its release. Speaking on this occasion, the Vice President said that Dadi Janki was a great soul and one of the foremost spiritual leaders of contemporary times. Releasing this stamp is a befitting tribute to her. We must draw inspiration from her life, which was dedicated to God and selfless service of humanity.
Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Law, Justice, IT and Communications, Government of India, expressed his gratitude for being a part of this occasion. He said that Dadi Janki presented the richness and greatness of Indian spirituality to the world with great simplicity. He recalled his first meeting with her in 1979. In this Organization, the Principle of Gender Equality is put to practice, as here women enjoy great respect. By the glory of her service, Dadi Janki guided so many people towards God. The Department of Posts is honored to commemorate this stamp. He expressed gratitude to Brahma Kumaris for their spiritual services.
D. R. Kartikeyan, Former Director of CBI, also shared his views. He recalled the Compassion, Hospitality and simplicity of Dadi Janki. She was always calm, happy and accessible, even while shouldering tremendous responsibility. We are talking about Women’s Empowerment today, but Brahma Baba entrusted the entire responsibility of this large organization to women way before.
Rajyogini BK Asha, Director of Omshanti Retreat Center, Gurgaon, said that in releasing this stamp, the Government of India has honored a personality who made history. We mark four honors today with this. Regarding the mothers of India, its culture, its spirituality and its veterans. Dadi Janki represented all these four. She spread the light of Indian spirituality all over the world. She was a guardian of the wisdom of the world and spoke the language of the heart. She joined the Brahma Kumaris in 1936, at its inception and continued unfailingly Godly services until the year 2020.
BK Mruthyunjaya, Executive Director of Brahma Kumaris, gave the vote of thanks. He thanked the Honorable Vice President, Department of Posts and Department of Communications. He also thanked the different religious leaders present in the Hall.

दिल्ली। ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान ने समाज की कुरीतियों को दूर करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभायी है। यह संस्था केवल समाज में नहीं बल्कि प्रत्येक मन में शांति के लिए कार्य कर रही है। वर्तमान करोना कॉल में तन और मन के स्तर पर स्वास्थ्य को लेकर तमाम तरह की समस्याओं से गुजर रहे लोगों को मानसिक स्तर पर शांति देने में अपनी ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभायें। उक्त उदगार भारत के उपराष्ट्रपति वेकैय्या नायडू ने व्यक्त किये। उपराष्ट्रपति भवन में आयोजित समारोह में दादी जानकी पर डॉक टिकट जारी करते हुए कही।
उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की स्प्रीुअल टीचर दादी जानकी का आवाज पूरे विश्व ने सुना है। ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान पूरे विश्व में मूल्यों और संस्कृति के लिए जानी जाती है। ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान ने महिलाओं के समान, सम्मान और प्रतिष्ठा के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किया है और कर रही है। समाज में व्याप्त वाद और तमाम तरह की सामाजिक विकृतियों को सहज और सरल भाषा में दूर कर रही है। इससे समाज में शांति और सौहाद्र्र पैदा होती है। भारतीय मूल्य और परम्परा को पूरे विश्व में जीवंत किया है। दादी जानकी का जीवन हमेशा लोगों के लिए प्रेरणा स्रोत रहेगा।
कार्यक्रम में सूचना एवं टेलिकम्यूनिकेशन केन्द्रिय मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद ने कहा कि पोस्टल डिर्पाटमेंट महान लोगों के सम्मान में डॉक टिकट जारी करता है। लेकिन आज वास्तव में पोस्टल डिपार्टमेंट का सम्मान बढ़ गया है। ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान ने पूरे विश्व में भारत की संस्कृति को पहुंचाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभायी है। सीबीआई के पूर्व निदेशक डी आर कार्तिकेयन ने कहा कि दादी का जीवन और ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान के आदर्श के रूप में जाना जाता रहा है।
इस अवसर पर ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान के अतिरिक्त महासचिव बीके बृजमोहन, ओम शांति रिट्रीट सेंटर की निदेशिका बीके आशा तथा कार्यकारी सचिव बीके मृत्युंजय ने कहा कि आज का दिन नारी सशक्तिकरण के लिए भी जाना जायेगा। क्योकि पूरे विश्व में सामाजिक उत्थान के लिए जिस तरह से दादी ने काम किया उनकी याद में डॉक टिकट जारी करना बेहद सम्मान की बात है।
कार्यक्रम में जीवन प्रबन्धन विशेषज्ञ बीके शिवानी ने कार्यक्रम का संचालन किया तथा जीवन प्रबन्धन के बारे में भी टिप्स दिये। इस अवसर पर दादी जानकी की निजी सचिव रही बीके हंसा, बीके जेमिनी समेत कई लोग उपस्थित थे।
कार्यक्रम में उपराष्ट्रपति वेकैय्या नायडू तथा केन्द्रिय मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद ने दादी जानकी का पांच रूपये का डॉक टिकट जारी किया।
