Jaipur ( Rajasthan): The Brahma Kumaris of the Vaishali Nagar service centre launched a campaign, ‘Fruitful Jaipur‘. Under this campaign, fruit trees of mango, guava, Indian blackberries, etc., will be planted all over Jaipur City. Rajyogini BK Sushma; Rajyogini BK Chandrakala; Ramesh Chandra Gupta, Councillor; Arvind Shukla, Former Mayor, Auraiya; and BK Mukesh, Professor, were present on this occasion. A new website called www.fruitfulljaipur.com was also launched at this program. On its inaugural day, fruit saplings were sown at the Government dispensary under this campaign. Dr. Sunita Thakkan, Medical Officer, along with the staff, were present.
BK Sushma said that according to the culture of the Golden Age, its beings primarily eat fruits. Fruit trees increase greenery, in addition to giving fruits. For safeguarding the environment, each one of us must plant at least 7 trees every year.
BK Mukesh explained the objectives of this campaign. He said that one person consumes oxygen equivalent to what is given out by 7 trees in one year. If we do not pay attention to protect our environment now, our lives can be in danger.
Under this campaign, it is aimed to bring mass awareness about environmental issues and plant 500 fruit trees in this year.
