We may easily understand when we give sorrow. Do we know that we are also taking sorrow by getting upset or disheartened or complaining about trivial matters? When we take sorrow the heart closes, it can no longer flow with love, good wishes, or blessings. We start to give sorrow after we have taken and accumulated sorrow into our hearts. Join us to dive deep into the exploration of true self-respect where we neither take nor give sorrow.

Antonio Figueroa is an architect and planner, currently the principal of the US firm LHP Architects that has also done work in in India, China and Europe. He has served as Deputy Commissioner for a major New York City Mayoral agency and at one time was principal in a firm he founded in the South Bronx part of New York City where he hails from. He has been a student of Raja Yoga meditation for 19 years. His involvement with the Brahma Kumaris includes facilitating retreats for his professional community and participating in programs to further the understanding of spirituality, particularly in the context of professional life.
