Divya Youth Forum Activities at ORC by Youth Wing

Gurugram ( Haryana ): The Youth Wing of the Brahma Kumaris conducts a DYF – Divya (Divine) Youth Forum – annually for the past three years for BK Professional Youth’s self-development and sustenance in their spiritual life. This year, Divine Youth Forums for 3 separate groups – Kumars ( young males ), Kumaris ( young females ) and Young BK Teachers were held at Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC) in Delhi.  The theme for the Kumar group was “Purity is Real Beauty,” for Kumaris “ Hum So, So Hum”  (As I am, so I will be again) and for Teachers, the theme was “Ek Bal Ek Bharosa” (One Strength, One Support). The total number of participants in the Kumar group was about 80, the Kumari group about 90, and the Teachers were 65. Out of them, 42 were from engineering professions, 8  from medical professions, 16 from management professions, 18 from teaching professions, and around 100 were graduates and 50 post graduates. All the participants were a minimum of 5 years in spiritual lifestyle and at least a graduate by education.

In this forum, all activities were designed in a unique way. Participants were divided in small groups of 8 to 10 and a senior Youth wing committee member guided them as mentor. Sessions were conducted in terms of various activities such as workshops, focused group discussions, and other experiential learning techniques. All Youth participants actively participated and shared their learning through songs, skits, poster making, etc.

Rajayogi BK BrijMohan and BK Asha from ORC, Delhi; BK Chandrika from Mahadevnagar, Gujarat; and BK Pushpa and BK Shukladidi from Delhi shared deep understandings of each subject, inspired the Youth and guided them for preparing action plans. Each group has prepared their action plan for the year. Their facilitators will inspire them from time to time toward the fulfilment of their action plan until the next Divine Youth Forum.

A huge gathering of the Delhi youth group was also invited. Honorable Speaker of Loksabha, Shri Om Birla, and other dignitaries were present in the program. They appreciated the activities done by the Brahma Kumaris institution and invited the BK Exhibition Bus to his residence.
