Bhilwara ( Rajasthan ): The local centre of the Brahma Kumaris, RK Colony, Bhilwara, conducted a number of de-addiction programmes at various places through road shows and short plays enacted by child artists. Highlighting the harmful consequences of tobacco — the root cause of TB, throat cancer, and lung cancer — the young artists displayed short plays at various places including RC Vyas Labour Square, Badla Square Shastri Nagar, Sanganeri Gate Square and for nursing students of MG Hospital.
Inspired by the performances of the small children, many onlookers vowed to quit addiction. Even a few threw away tobacco and other tobacco products on the spot. In addition to this, a number of de-addiction programmes and demonstrations were also arranged at the Textile market in Shivaji Garden at Hemu Colony in Bapu Nagar where participants were made aware of the harmful consequences of tobacco. At the end, free medicine was distributed among people who quit cigarettes as well as alcohol.

आज डेढ़ इंच की जुबान बन गयी है जिसकी गुलाम, जो दिखाती है मौत का गेट, जिसने सभी के फेफड़ों को कोयले के समान काला बना दिया है, नाक को फक्ट्री की चिमनी बना दिया है, टी बी, गले का कैंसर, फेफड़ों का कैंसर जिसके कारण है वह है सिगरेट | तम्बाकू गले को गलाता है जिससे इंसान मुख में अन्न भी नहीं डाल पाता | उक्त सन्देश आज 31 मई तम्बाकू निषेध दिवस पर प्रजापिता ब्रह्माकुमारी ईश्वरीय विश्वविद्यालय के बाल कलाकारों द्वारा नुक्कड़ नाटक के द्वारा दिया जिसे आर सी व्यास लेबर चोराहा, बडला चोराहा शास्त्री नगर, सांगानेरी गेट चोराहा व एम् जी अस्पताल में नर्सिंग विद्यार्थियों के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किया गया | इससे प्रेरित होकर अनेक लोगों ने व्यसन त्यागने का संकल्प लिया व् जेबों से तम्बाकू के पाउच, बीड़ी के बण्डल निकल कर फेंक दिए |
इसके अतिरिक्त ब्रह्माकुमारीज संसथान द्वारा अनेक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये गए | टेक्सटाइल मार्केट में व्यसन मुक्ति प्रदर्शनी आयोजित की गयी व तम्बाकू, शराब छोड़ने वालों को निशुल्क दवा भी दी गयी | इसी प्रकार की प्रदर्शनी आर सी व्यास स्थित शिवाजी गार्डन, बापू नगर स्थित हेमू कालानी पार्क व हलेड गांव में आयोजित कर हजारों लोगों को तम्बाकू के हानिकारक परिणामों से अवगत कराया गया |
