Dadi Ratanmohini Inaugurates e-Conference by Media Wing of Brahma Kumaris

Mount Abu ( Rajasthan ): A three-day e-Conference on the topic “Media Ethics and Social Responsibility” was organized by the Media Wing of the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation,  in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris.

Dadi Ratanmohini, Additional Head of the Brahma Kumaris, inaugurated this e-Conference. She delivered the message of using this powerful medium of reaching out to the masses for the service of humanity by the media people.  She congratulated everyone for this initiative and stressed the need for self transformation for a better world.

BK Karuna, Multi Media Head of the Brahma Kumaris, gave the welcome speech and shared the objectives of this e-Conference.  He said that Supreme Soul has chosen media to propagate its message for this age. In these times of corona virus pandemic,  selfless service offered by the Media people cannot be glorified enough.  Usually every year a Media Conference is held to equip media personnel with spiritual tools, to aid them in doing their work properly.  But this year, since they cannot attend physically,  it has been turned into an e-Conference to pray for their well being and discuss the role of media in this changed world.

BK Nirwair, Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, urged media persons to dutifully highlight the positive happenings in this difficult time of pandemic as well. This will help improve the morale of the people.  He asked the members of the Brahma Kumaris dealing in media to propagate the message of the Supreme Soul and Rajyoga Meditation technique to the masses, as this will help them cope with the coronavirus pandemic-induced anxiety.

BK Brij Mohan, Additional Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, appreciated the work being done by the Media Personnel in the times of the coronavirus pandemic.  He suggested more coverage of Spiritual content by the media, as this will be of utmost help to people in these difficult times. For this, the services of trained Rajyogis at more than 4,500 Brahma Kumaris centers across India is available. He urged people to use this time of lockdown to connect with the Supreme Soul.

Prof. Kamal Dixit, Senior Journalist and Editor of Rajikhushi Magazine from Bhopal,  gave the keynote speech.  He said that the corona virus pandemic is a never-faced-before situation that has made people introspect. Normally,  media people work for earning a livelihood.  With spirituality, working ethically for the good of the society will come naturally.

BK Sister Shivani, Rajyoga Teacher and Internationally Renowned Motivational Speaker, emphasized the need of self transformation for world transformation.  For this, thought patterns need to be changed with Rajayoga Meditation.  Media is very powerful and ever-present today. Our choice of media impacts our thoughts.  Hence, it should be used responsibly.  Media people should make news with an intent of service.

N. K. Singh, Senior Journalist from Delhi, gave personal examples to convey the difference between innate and professional values.  He urged media Personnel to choose and safeguard innate values in a situation of conflict between the two.
