Malaysia : One thousand people attended the public program “Creating Calm in Chaos” at Berjaya Times Square Hotel with BK Sister Jayanti, Director of the Brahma Kumaris in Europe and the Middle East, as the main speaker. Participants included many respected leaders from the community, some long-standing friends of the Brahma Kumaris, some new guests, and BKs, including Indian, Chinese and Malays from various religious backgrounds.
Master of Ceremony (MC) for the day Fauziah Ramly gave a beautiful introduction to the program, followed by an enlightening opening address from the President of the Brahma Kumaris Malaysia, BK Letchu.
Datuk DJ Dave, veteran artist, entertained everyone with one of his evergreen Malay songs, followed by the famous English song “My Way”. The crowd loved his singing and applauded for at least 2 minutes. MC Fauziah then gave a beautiful introduction to BK Sister Jayanti.
The talk by Sister Jayanti was very enlightening. Everyone listened with absolute attention and pin-drop silence. She shared many tools the participants could use to keep the mind at peace and in control in the midst of challenges. Sister Jayanti concluded her talk with a beautiful and very calming 10-minute meditation commentary.
Sister Jayanti presented a small gift of appreciation to Datuk DJ Dave, followed by MC Fauziah sharing an introduction to the Brahma Kumaris and highlights of upcoming programs.
Sister Jayanti then presented a token of appreciation to Fauziah for being such a wonderful person and the best MC.
