Consul General Visits BK Center, Rakhi at Indian Consulate in Sydney

Sydney ( Australia ):  BK Asha, BK Chris and BK Pravin went to tie rakhi for the staff of the Indian Consulate in Sydney. About 20 staff members had rakhi tied and enjoyed and appreciated the BK’s visit. The BKs have been doing this for quite a few years and maintaining a good relationship with the consulate.

The new Indian Consul General Manish Gupta and his wife Mrs Nimeesha Gupta visited the BK Centre at Five Dock to meet BK Sudha from Moscow and BK Charlie, National Co-ordinator of Brahma Kumaris in Australia and to see the BK Centre, and had their rakhis tied.

In Sydney there were also three public rakhi programs: one in the west at Wentworthville organised by the Hindi group, one at West Ryde organised by the Tamil group, and one at a Nepalese gathering. There was a dance/play about rakhi stories, including how in today’s world, it is often inner negative thoughts and feelings that we need to be protected from.
