Abu Road ( Rajasthan ): A spirited and festive celebration was held at the Head Quarters of the Brahma Kumaris in Shantivan and Gyansarovar on the occasion of Christmas. It was attended by Brahma Kumars and Kumaris from all over India and the world. They were delighted by the presence of special personalities including Dadi Janki, Chief Administrator of the Brahma Kumaris; BK Nirwair, General Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris; Dadi Ishu, BK Munni, BK Dr. Nirmala, BK Meera from Malaysia, BK Karuna and senior Rajayogis from abroad on the stage. The celebration started with musical and dance performances by artists of the BK fraternity and blessings by Dadi Janki, BK Nirwair and BK Munni. Brahma Kumaris from Malaysia, Indonesia and India showcased their dance skills, regaling the audience. This was followed by fun and frolic with Santa Claus. He distributed sweets everywhere, followed by children squealing with delight.
Dadi Janki gave Christmas greetings and spoke about the happiness brought about by Christmas. She talked about the importance of always remaining in tune with the Self and the Supreme Soul to attain permanent happiness and share it with others.
BK Nirwair wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. He said that Christmas is celebrated all over the world and it is a Global family get-together here. He reminded of the main preachings of Christ: Love thy neighbor, emphasis on truth and humanity. 3500 years before Christ, there was Paradise and once gain that Paradise and one religion is being established on this earth.
BK Munni also welcomed the assembly and shared the real message of Christmas as bringing alive the spirit of giving love and compassion to all.
There was a cake-cutting ceremony and the BKs joined together to send out vibrations of peace and love to the entire world as Brahma Kumaris HQ resounded with the glow of festive Christmas spirit.
