Cancer Awareness Program for Youth by Brahma Kumaris Hathras

Hathras ( Uttar Pradesh ): “NCC cadets are more responsible than normal children, who are taught the lesson of unity and discipline. If they make spirituality a part of their life, then they themselves will be saved from intoxication and will also save others. Cancer awareness day is not just for one day; youth should always carry this responsibility. Addressing NCC cadets at Saraswati College under the “My India Addiction-Free India” campaign, Raja Yoga teacher BK Shanta, Coordinator of Anandpuri Colony, Hathras, expressed her views.

Earlier, a rally was organized by NCC cadets to make people aware of cancer which was led by Lieutenant Swakendra Singh. The awareness rally started from Saraswati College, and passed through Agra Aligarh Road until the college.

After the rally, BK Dinesh showed a video film to bring awareness to the cancer disease caused by tobacco. The film showcased how tobacco contains 40 types of chemicals which help in causing cancer.

Rakesh Aggarwal, former manager of Punjab National Bank, also gave inspiration to the children on this occasion.

Lieutenant Swakendra Singh, while thanking the Brahma Kumaris, pledged to stay away from narcotics.

Children start with sweet betel nut before tobacco. After getting used to betel nut, it is not known when pan masala and tobacco started. Today, 60 percent of the youth in the country have become victims of some form of addiction. No one is untouched today, whether it is the rich state of Punjab, Haryana, or the educated state Kerala. This soulful expression was addressed to children under the campaign “My India, Addiction-Free India” at Dada Shri Meghshyam Singh Inter College, Ratibhanpur.
