Mumbai – Ghatkopar ( Maharashtra ) : On the occasion of the UN Global Road Safety Week between 15th – 21st May 2023, Brahma Kumaris Yog Bhavan, Mumbai, Ghatkopar Subzone organized social awareness, service events towards Road Safety.
The following services were done in commemoration of Road Safety week –
1. A Road Safety Awareness Exhibition was put up at Vikhroli where Auto-Rickshaws are checked to certify their billing meters. Rickshaw drivers were explained about Road Safety. Also, they were educated about the damage caused by the use of substances of abuse (Alcohol, Tobacco etc) and their impact on their Nervous system and ultimately on their behaviours in life and on road. They were made aware of how their accidental actions can endanger someone else’s life.
The Auto Rickshaw drivers were given a pledge to drive safely, follow traffic rules, control speed while driving, be alert while driving, to restrict use of mobile phones while driving, to be empathetic towards pedestrians and fellow drivers, to help accident victims. The drivers signed off the pledge as a token of their commitment towards Road Safety. The RTO Staff were overwhelmed with this initiative of the Brahma Kumaris and were certain that awareness and spiritual support will help in reducing the number of road accidents and encourage decent road behaviours.
2. Road Safety Awareness Messages were displayed on LED screens of Petrol Pumps in Ghatkopar, during which the masses in general and drivers in particular got Road Safety messages. Ravi Shinde of Ravi Automobiles who runs a Petrol Pump along with a Motor Training School appreciated this effort of Brahma Kumaris and said the safety messages being conveyed on the screens have been acting as a reminder to people to behave responsibly on the roads and maintain road safety etiquettes.
3. Road safety related Educative Emailers were sent to Firms in Finance, Pharmaceutical Sectors who circulated the emails to their employees everyday through the road safety Week. All employers were very impressed with the content of the educational posts which were sent across their organization as part of a wellness initiative towards employees.
The Road Safety Awareness Services were undertaken with the support from Travel and Transport Wing (RERF), and under guidance of BK Nalini (M umbai-Ghatkopar subzone In-charge and BK Nikunj (Popular Columnist and National Coordinator of Media Wing of Brahma Kumaris).

15 से 21 मई 2023 संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा वैश्विक सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह के रूप में मनाया जा रहा है | इस अवसर पर, ब्रह्माकुमारीज योग भवन, मुंबई, घाटकोपर सबज़ोन द्वारा सड़क सुरक्षा के प्रति सामाजिक जागरूकता निमित्त कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया |
निम्नलिखित आयोजनों द्वारा सड़क सुरक्षा प्रति जागरूकता दिलाई गयी |
1. विक्रोली में ऑटो रिक्शा के बिलिंग मीटर प्रमाणित करने के स्थान पर सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता प्रदर्शनी द्वारा ऑटो रिक्शा चालकों को सड़क सुरक्षा के बारे में बताया गया । साथ ही, उन्हें व्यसनों के दुष्परिणामों से अवगत कराया गया और शराब, तम्बाकू .. आदि के उपयोग से होने वाली क्षति के बारे में शिक्षित किया गया। ऑटो रिक्शा चालकों को सुरक्षित वाहन चलाने, यातायात नियमों का पालन करने, वाहन चलाते समय गति नियंत्रण में रखने , वाहन चलाते समय सतर्क रहने, वाहन चलाते समय मोबाइल फोन के उपयोग को प्रतिबंधित करने, पैदल चलने वालों और साथी चालकों के प्रति सहानुभूति रखने, दुर्घटना पीड़ितों की मदद करने की शपथ दिलाई गई। ड्राइवरों ने सड़क सुरक्षा के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता के प्रतीक के रूप में प्रतिज्ञा पर हस्ताक्षर किए। RTO कर्मचारी ब्रह्माकुमारीज की इस पहल से अभिभूत थे और उन्हें विश्वास था कि जागरूकता और आध्यात्मिकता की मदद से सड़क दुर्घटनाओं की संख्या को कम करने और सभ्य सड़क व्यवहार को प्रोत्साहित करने में मदद मिलेगी |
2. घाटकोपर में पेट्रोल पंपों की LED स्क्रीन पर सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता संदेश प्रदर्शित किए गए, जिसके दौरान आम जनता और विशेष रूप से चालकों को सड़क सुरक्षा संदेश मिले। मोटर ट्रेनिंग स्कूल के साथ-साथ पेट्रोल पंप चलाने वाले रवि ऑटोमोबाइल्स के श्री. रवि शिंदे जी ने ब्रह्माकुमारीज के इस प्रयास की सराहना की और कहा कि स्क्रीन पर दिए जा रहे सुरक्षा संदेश लोगों को सड़कों पर जिम्मेदारी से व्यवहार करने और सड़क सुरक्षा बनाए रखने के लिए एक अनुस्मारक के रूप में काम कर रहे हैं |
3. सड़क सुरक्षा से संबंधित शिक्षाप्रद ईमेल कॉर्पोरेट क्षेत्र में भेजे गए, और कम्पनीज ने सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह में प्रतिदिन अपने कर्मचारियों को सड़क सुरक्षा सम्बंधित इ-मेल भेजे |
ब्रह्माकुमारीज के यात्रा और परिवहन विंग के सहयोग से एवं राजयोगिनी ब्रह्माकुमारी नलिनी दीदी जी (मुंबई- घाटकोपर सबज़ोन इंचार्ज) और राजयोगी बी.के निकुंज भाई (लोकप्रिय स्तंभकार और ब्रह्माकुमारीज के मीडिया विंग के राष्ट्रीय समन्वयक) के मार्गदर्शन में सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता सेवाएं की गयी l
