Brahma Kumaris Sagar Observe World Anti-Tobacco Day

Sagar ( Madhya Pradesh ): “Positive thoughts can help keep drug addiction away” was the message given on the occasion of World Anti-Tobacco Day by the Brahma Kumaris of Sagar in Bhopal. An awareness rally organized in collaboration with the Bundelkhand Medical College and the Lions Club was organized from Teen Batti in the heart of the city through various other central places. With the help of creative slogans and banners the message of tobacco de-addiction was conveyed to the public.

BK Neelam, speaking on the occasion, said that the Brahma Kumaris has been offering this awareness work for 83 years. More than twelve lakhs (1,200,000) people associated with this family live addiction-free, disciplined and happy lives. Of these, more than two lakhs (200,000) are celibate youth, who live dedicated lives in service to humanity and have never experienced substance abuse of any kind. Negative thoughts suck our vital life force and push us towards addictions. Positive thoughts are energy-enhancing. With meditation we can increase our inner power to combat any urge of drug addiction.

Chief guest on the occasion was the Dean of Bundelkhand Medical College Mr. GS Patel. President of the Indian Medical Association Dr. Neena Gideon along with other members of the association, nursing students, members of the Lions Club, SGOS President Dr. Sadhna Mishra and Dr. R D Nanoria were also present.
