Brahma Kumaris Sacramento Address Interfaith and Intercultural Speakers Event

Sacramento, California ( USA ): A program was organized by the Interfaith Council of Greater Sacramento and Brahma Kumaris on “Creating a Vision of World Healing and Well-being of the Community” where Interfaith and Intercultural presenters shared a vision of healing the world and well-being. The event was organized through Zoom with these speakers:

  • Rev. Elaine Whitefeather (Foundation for Peaceful Communities)
  • Joshua Lwanga, 12 years old (New Destiny Christian Center)
  • Rev. Jacquclyn Sneed (Interfaith Minister)
  • President Lang Ford (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints)
  • Professor Patricia Blaine (Baha’i Faith)
  • BK Sister Hansa (Brahma Kumaris Sacramento)
  • Charles de Wattevil (Unifications Tradition)
  • Rev. James Trapp (Spiritual Life Center)
  • Shohini, 12 years old (Brahma Kumaris)
  • Edrine Ddungu (Sierra Vista Community Church)
  • BK Sister Kala (Peace Village Learning and Retreat Center)

This program was held to remember God as our Creator, Protector, and Sustainer. Together, we are yet to see, but we know with certainty, that goodwill prevails in God’s divine plan and love!

The event included inspiring prayers, messages, and music of hope, healing from loss, and more from leaders of the community. Every one of them focused on positivity and shared that we can protect ourselves with our own energy. We need to embrace God in these situations with the help of meditation and uplift our life towards positivity.

Dr. BK Kala Iyengar, Director of Peace Village Learning and Retreat Center, shared that we have to see the self like an angel and pay attention to our mind in the present times. She remembered the speciality of Dadi Janki on this occasion and said how, by keeping her mind calm and peaceful in such situations, she found solutions for problems. We should know how to use the power of our mind securely, as this will become a great tool for protection during the times of crisis.

Edrine Ddungu, President of the Interfaith Council of Greater Sacramento, was the program host and moderator.

Because of a great response, a similar program is being planned for 31st May 2020 in which the Brahma Kumaris are invited as speakers.
