London (UK) : On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the British Parliament’s House of Commons felicitated persons of organizations of excellence in diverse fields. Dr. BK Swathy, Coordinator of the Value Education programs for about 18 years in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, was honored with an “Excellence Award for Independent Spirituality.” BK Dr. Dipak Harke, 156 World Record holder, from the Brahma Kumaris, was also present on the occasion.
This award was presented by Lord Dolar Popat, Member of Parliament, UK. It was supported by Incredible India and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India, along with the High Commission of India in London, and the Aaj Tak News Channel.
Actors Gracy Singh and Sanjay Kapoor, Industrialist Kalpana Saroj and Sandeep Marwa, Executive Director of India Today Kali Puri and BK Jayanti, European Director of the Brahma Kumaris, were also awarded at this function.
