Mount Abu ( Rajasthan ): Dadi Ishu, Additional Spiritual Head of Brahma Kumaris left her mortal coil on 6th May 2021 at 8.05 PM IST in Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad.
Her body was brought to Shantivan, Abu Road and was kept in her room at Vishwa Kalyani Bhawan. The funeral will take place at Muktidham Crematory at 10.00am IST today.
At the ‘Bhog Ceremony’, consecrated food offering, held for her at Diamond Hall in Shantivan, Mount Abu, loving tributes were paid to her by the senior members of Brahma Kumaris.
BK Nirwair, Secretary General of Brahma Kumaris, recalled his 62 years of association with Ishu Dadi, whose official name was Pooran Shanta. She used to meticulously translate Brahma Baba’s letters to Hindi and post them on the same day. She was lovingly addressed as ‘Money Plant’ and ‘Reporter’ by Brahma Baba and Mama, First Chief Administrator of Brahma Kumaris. She did her service as Treasurer with full dedication. She was very mature and ever smiling. In later years she had become like a happy child full of selfless love for all. Her whole life was that of Divine service. He gratefully mentioned the loving care given to her by BK Kavita, BK Khagender and other nursing staff. Her life would be an inspiration for the coming generations.
BK Mruthyunjaya, Executive Secretary of Brahma Kumaris, paid ‘Multimillion Tributes’ of love to her. He described her as faithful, obedient, simple and honest to every word of Supreme Soul. She personified all Divine qualities.
BK Sudesh, European Director of Brahma Kumaris called her a jewel in the garland of the Supreme Soul. She was fortunate to receive personal care of Brahma Baba. She translated his words with full accuracy. She had perfect equanimity in every situation.

About Dadi Ishu :
Dadi Ishu is the Additional Spiritual Head of Brahma Kumaris. Dadi Ishu and her family came into contact with the Brahma Kumaris when she was very young. She joined the boarding school set up by the organisation, which provided a balance of formal and spiritual education and training. After the Brahma Kumaris shifted to Mount Abu in the 1950s, Dadi handled all correspondence for the Founder, Brahma Baba, and later became one of the instruments to look after the Finance Department.
Dadi’s dignity, introversion, loyalty and commitment made her a powerful spiritual pillar of support for all. Her honesty, faithfulness and integrity attracted the attention of Brahma Baba who assigned her the responsibility of handling his correspondence and more importantly the finances of the
institution. She was the right hand of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani, the Former Chief of Brahma Kumaris and travelled along with her throughout India and to many foreign countries, giving Godly message. She was a silent and self effacing serviceable instrument of the Almighty.
Members of the Brahma Kumaris family from all over the world joined together to send loving vibrations to this great soul.
