Chandigarh (Punjab): On the occasion of Maha Shivratri a special program was organised by the Brahma Kumaris of Chandigarh at Rajyoga Bhawan, Sector 33-A. Prabhat Pheri (early morning procession) was organised to spread the message of God with a contingent of 1,500 BKs walking around 4 km in the city.
After that, a beautiful program of Felicitation of some dignitaries of the city was held followed by the Flag Hoisting of God Shiva.
Honorable Justice Mrs. Daya Chaudhary, Punjab and Haryana High Court, was the Chief Guest of the event.
Shivratri is not a festival that we can celebrate a single day in a year at our places of worship. It is a concept and connection with all-Supreme God that continues all through our lives. With this understanding, though, the Brahma Kumaris celebrated the festival of Shivrari at its regional center. The day also marked the conclusion of month-long programs for Shivratri by the Brahma Kumaris in Chandigarh and the surrounding region.
The programs saw 25 centers of the organization and around 1,000 people associated with these centers, called Brahma Kumaris, spreading the message of God Shiv.
BK Amir Chand, National Vice-chairperson of the Social Wing and Director of Brahma Kumaris in the northern zone, said, “We need to lay stress on understanding the real meaning of devotion and the power of Shiva. Love and tolerance are virtues that stay forever.”
