Ludhiana ( Punjab ): Brahma Kumaris Ludhiana sub-zone in-charge B.K. Saraswati , Bk Nisha, Bk Pawan and other brother-sisters assisted the railway officials and staff in the cleanliness drive of the railway station. Railway officials of Ludhiana Junction expressed their gratitude to Brahma Kumaris organisation for this cooperation.
The initiative of Swachhta Pakhwada was taken with the objective of focusing a fortnight of intense focus on sanitation issues and practices by involving various Ministries/Departments of the Government of India. It is one of the major programs under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Swachhta Pakhwada is being observed across the Railways from 16 September to 2 October with the objective of ensuring a clear improvement in cleanliness in stations, trains, offices, colonies, workshops, maintenance depots and hospitals. Under this campaign, an intensive cleaning drive was carried out at Railway Station Ludhiana on 19th September.

स्वच्छता पखवाड़े के अंतर्गत ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ ने चलाया रेलवे स्टेशन पर सफाई अभियान
स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा की पहल भारत सरकार के विभिन्न मंत्रालयों/विभागों को शामिल करके स्वच्छता के मुद्दों और प्रथाओं पर एक पखवाड़े का गहन ध्यान केंद्रित करने के उद्देश्य से की गई थी। यह स्वच्छ भारत मिशन के तहत प्रमुख कार्यक्रमों में से एक है।
स्टेशनों, ट्रेनों, कार्यालयों, कॉलोनियों, कार्यशालाओं, रखरखाव डिपो और अस्पतालों में साफ-सफाई में स्पष्ट सुधार सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से पूरे रेलवे में 16 सितंबर से 2 अक्टूबर तक स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा मनाया जा रहा है। इस अभियान के तहत 19 सितम्बर को रेलवे स्टेशन लुधियाना में गहन सफाई अभियान चलाया गया। ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था लुधियाना के सब-ज़ोन इन्चार्ज बी.के. सरस्वती दीदी के कुशल निर्देशन हेठ, बी.के. निशा दीदी, भ्राता पवन भाई और अन्य भाई बहनों ने रेलवे स्टेशन के सफाई अभियान में रेलवे अधिकारियों एवं स्टाफ़ को सहयोग दिया। लुधियाना जंक्शन के रेलवे अधिकारियों ने ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था का इस सहयोग के लिए बहुत आभार व्यक्त किया।
