Jammu: The Brahma Kumaris in Jammu at their Om Shanti Meditation Center on BC Road distributed free rations ( daily consumable food items such as rice, flour, lentils, edible oil, sugar and food spices) to the needed persons at its center. Due to the present scenario ( lockdown ), social distancing was also maintained by sanitizing the hands of every participant. Later, needed persons were called by issuing a token to one member of the family, for getting the relief. This routine will follow for a further 15 days.
Sat Sharma CA, Honorable Former BJP State President and Minister, was chief guest and distributed the rations along with BK Sudershan, Director of Brahma Kumaris in Jammu and Kashmir. He appreciated the Brahma Kumaris organization and said that the Brahma Kumaris are a very big family and we know them personally. BK Sudershan will be distributing the free rations to poor and 1,000 needy families. He also reiterated that she always helps this universe monetarily from time to time and recently deposited a cheque of Rs. 1,51,000/- in the PM CARES Fund. BK Sudarshan said that this universe is a big Drama and God has given us a part in this drama to help others socially with the power of Knowledge and Relief.
