Brahma Kumaris Honored with “Youth Spiritual Guru” Award at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi

New Delhi : BK Sister Shivani, International Motivational Speaker and Spiritual Teacher, was awarded the “Yuva Adhyatmik Guru” (Youth Spiritual Guru) award for outstanding contribution in the Spiritual Renaissance of India and promotion of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (World as one family). She was honored with this award at the 10th Indian Student Parliament at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

This Parliament was organized by MIT World Peace University and the MIT School of Government, Pune. This Parliament was inaugurated by the Honorable Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu.

The Parliament was attended by leaders from all major political parties from Asia and the western world.  Eminent people from all walks of life came together to interact with students and youth leaders. Bharat Ratan Dr. Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India; Shri Kiren Rijiu, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs; Padma Vibhushan Dr. Karan Singh; Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh; former Justice N. Santosh Hegde, Supreme Court of India; Shrimati Smirit Irani, Union Minister for Textiles and Women and Child Development; Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road and Highways; Governor of Kerala, Shri Arif Mohammad Khan; and eminent leading politicians, media heads, and international and national youth leaders gave addresses during this event.

Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder President, and his son Rahul V Karad, Founder BCS of MIT Pune, were the main organizers of this conference with the theme “Inspiring Youth, Strengthening Democracy,” offering inspirations to join politics to provide clean and corruption-free government to the country.

Dr. BK Binny, Regional Director, Global Peace Initiative, and Spiritual Teacher,  Brahma Kumaris, was a speaker at the conference, and also interacted with many political leaders and leading international speakers after the sessions and briefed them about BK service activities.
